People fish that water every day from the seawall. We see them when we walk every evening. I wouldn't eat anything out of the lake even if I was starving.

What do you mean? I understand this but the effects are already being felt. 400 layoffs just announced this week at LDL.

but if someone from north LC wants to get there it seems almost impossible.
Thank God. South LC needs to pull a St. George.

Covid isn't going away anytime soon. Short of a miracle vaccine, we're looking at years of dealing with it.
Hell even if a miracle vaccine was created today, it would be 6-12 months before we could get it tested and mass produced

Will never happen.
Moss Bluff needs to form its own city, though. The PJ will never let that happen as they would lose too much revenue.

Allegedly a vaccine will be moving into phase 3 by September. That is according to Fauci so who knows.

As a proud Bronco alumn, Is gladly run for mayor. Moss Bluff needs more businesses to be a city, though. There’s hardly anything there.

Wait. People are eating the fish out of the Lake? I live near Prien Lake Park and there is no way I’d eat anything out of that place with all the refineries and industry around here. I wouldn’t doubt it for a minute if they were dumping sludge straight into that place.

Moss Bluff just needs to be incorporated into LC so our population is right at 6-figures
Posted on 7/7/20 at 11:56 am to SlowFlowPro
The citizens of Moss Bluff voted this down, correct?

Yes. I always ask the fisherman what they are catching and it is always croaker or drum. Hardly ever any reds so trash fish from a trash lake.

i've heard all sorts of urban legends about it
it's clear that nobody really knows what to do or wants a solution that is palatable

Moss Bluff doesn't want to be incorporated into LC. I can't blame them.

Because this is no different than any other protest or gathering across the country
It’s political suicide if you don’t abide by their rules and demands. No one has the balls to stand up to anyone because media will immediately label you racist and you’ll lose your job and livelihood.
Not only would Nic Hunter be labeled for telling them no, he’d lose his restaurants as well.

Moss Bluff has tons more businesses than a lot of run down POS towns across Louisiana. A lot more people will be moving into MB in the next few years as well with those two new subdivisions popping up. Now, with More people moving north into Ragley, I don’t see why there’s an issue with Moss Bluff becoming its own entity. I’ve been here for coming up on 2 years now and we’re happy here.

Too bad the golf course development on 171 was canceled. I see where a large chunk of that is now for sale.
