Not enough buses, bus stops, or the routes aren't good enough? because I hardly ever see people waiting at the bus stops around town and there are usually less than 5 people waiting for a bus at the (really nice) downtown depot.

I think there are areas of town lacking in bus stops. Not that many south of town that I can recall. The people out there don't need them but if someone from north LC wants to get there it seems almost impossible.

Yeah the inconsistencies have been mind boggling.
The political game of the whole thing from both parties has been downright infuriating at least here in the capital with a liberal mayor and a GOP governor. The contradictions, power struggle/dick measuring, Abbott digging his wheels into the ground until too late, etc etc.
If anyone actually gave a shite about the safety of their population, they'd put it aside to give out a clear and consistent message and apply it equally to everyone.

I would disagree, but I've never taken the city bus.
7 stops on Nelson, 6 on Ryan south of 210, 2 on Lake street south of 210, 4 stops on Country Club, 3 stops on McNeese.

Agreed. The political posturing is sickening when you take into account how many lives have been set back by this. Some will never recover and others will feel it for years to come.

This is mostly the area I was talking about. For as much as it is growing, it seems to be short in the bus stop department. Maybe I am wrong.

I simply meant they have every right to be on those steps to "save their business" but simply don't. No... what most will do is defy, put it out on social media and pray for a Go Fund Me. Our famous hairdresser is damn near a millionaire doing it. Our world is absurd.

I was around LC all weekend. Wouldn’t say much has shut down. I went to a baseball tournament that was allowed to take place with very little consideration for Covid. I’d say LC has been about as lax on Covid as any city in the country. Also our statue still stands which is a testament to the people that agree and disagree with it. At least in LC even though they disagree with the statue they didn’t just tear it down. They are going through the City Council and making their voices heard and I can completely 100% respect that.

The stupid Harvard stabbing chick made over 10K and her story wasn't even that big. Something that makes headlines is easily 6 or 7 figures like the woman that flipped off Trump's limo or the hairdresser.

Businesses are still being forced to operate at a reduced capacity and even facing spot checks. It's a fact the fire marshall went around to some businesses this weekend to see that they were adhering to the COVID reduced capacity numbers. There are photos of them at GN.

Police Jury is responsible for it apparently not the council but I get your point and agree. I was never that concerned about anything violent in LC regarding BLM. It just doesn't happen here.
