It really is. A backward-thinking populace electing horrendously bad politicians is a recipe for the disaster that is Louisiana.
What about the gumbo and LSU home games?

It’s legal to purchase a daiquiri thru the drive thru
But don't you fricking dare use a product on you that contains CBD (which is not mood altering like a daiquiri is)!
But hey, if it's either redneck or you can get drunk on it, it's Louisiana baby!

Are seriously people that don’t know the difference in CBD and THC? And that CBD is legal to possess and purchase.

As far as I am aware, the 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized CBD products derived from the hemp plant. Hemp is legally defined as cannabis sativa containing less than 0.3% delta-9 THC. CBD derived from marijuana plants is still illegal.
From looking at Louisiana's stance on it as long as there is 0% THC and the products are derived from hemp plants and not marijuana plants, it would be legal. If this is the case here, the owner could have a lawsuit for wrongful arrest.

You said

drive thru to get loaded and drive and put us all at risk on the road
And that’s not okay. That’s illegal

Oh, don't get me started on ole Frannie.
He's wasting time and pushing legislation right now to rid Louisiana of the scourge of people advertising cauliflower rice because he claims that people think it's rice. That jackass also wants to ban calling almond milk that because people might confuse it with cow milk.

No one is even sure if it's illegal.
CBD is legal in Louisiana, but only under certain conditions. The hemp grown by U.S. farmers can only be industrial crop, not commercial. The end CBD products must be made using only the seeds and stalks, not the leaves or flowers of the plant.

Further - do you think it's a good use of taxpayer resources to raid this store?
You're asking me if I think it's a good use of tax dollars to enforce the law?

Solid use, er, waste of resources.

Have you ever heard of discretion? Perhaps you would approve of radar guns and inspection sticker checkpoints everyday on your drive to work? They would be enforcing the law, after all.

I bet 95% of his clients are pothead. I really don't have an opinion on cbd, but to say the federal government should override states rights is how you get civil war.
Are you trolling or just stupid as frick?

Yes
Do you agree with literally everything the government does?
Is this what you are implying?

Small gubment Republicans run the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office
It’s more about a Sheriff trying to protect his little fiefdom. I don’t understand it, but Sheriffs across the country are some of the biggest opponents of marijuana reform. They are going to crack down on CBD until legislators or the courts tell them they can’t.

B/c arresting people for drug crimes is a cash cow that often funds their departments.
It's why they fricking loooooove civil forfeiture and will always claim you are using everything you own to traffic drugs.

It's because the parish/county prisons receive daily stipends from the state for every prisoner they house. The stipend exceeds the actual cost to house each prisoner, leading to large profits for the prison. Filling the prison with non-violent offenders and getting paid for it is exactly what they don't want to stop.

They are enforcing the law. You don't get to pick and choose what laws get enforced. Don't cry when you break the law and have to face the consequences.
dui checkpoints are a different topic. The federal government thinks it's OK to violate your 4th amendment rights, and people in this thread are OK with states not having as many rights as they once did.

People in this thread are frustrated with the state of LA shitting all over personal freedom.
You seem to be OK with not having as many rights as you once did.
