If there is a serial killer anywhere, they are in NOLA on the interstate.

One?

There is at least a dozen people in BR that have killed another person in 3 or more different incidents.

There is someone shooting at cars in New Orleans. Maybe they branched out?

Also note that the FBI’s core competency is political harassment and violating civil rights. They don’t really know or understand crimes like this anymore.

FBI needs to be disbanded and most of it's employees prosecuted for being used as a weapon against political enemies.

No. It was a gang initiation. Facebook said so.

That sounds like some made-up bullshite.
best I’ve read so far is the guy in the stickies thread that theorized someone that was really hungry was walking by and saw her stopped eating fries

So you believe it is more plausible that there was a serial killer

I don't think anything or know any more than you do...unless you did it. I've read every word written on here about this situation, and I was just agreeing with another poster how people won't allow themselves to think outside the box a little.

White coeds just aren't gunned down in this city. In the history of white women being murdered in BR, it has almost always been a kidnapping-murder, the husband, the boyfriend, etc. They are not typically victims of random gun violence.

Her death is a tragedy, and we all know if she wasn’t of means, this wouldn’t get any attention.

This case isn't getting attention because she was "of means"...because she really wasn't. She attend public school. Her family owned a restaurant at which she worked. We're not talking about Patty Hearst here.

It gets attention because this was a pretty young girl who apparently had no history with criminal activity whatsoever who was murdered simply because she was stuck in her car waiting for a train to clear. That scares and shocks the hell out of people because most people can picture themselves, or their children, in that same scenario whereas, sadly, the majority of murder victims either have some sort of criminal past or association with those who do, OR live in areas where, unfortunately, crime is commonplace. That is why it is getting so much attention.

As for the OP, the fact that the BRPD seems to be so tight-lipped may suggest something about this particular murder is unusual. However, the level of credibility in the BRPD is probably at a decades-long low. So it is equally as plausible to believe the reason there are so few details is because they are just that incompetent...or don't particularly care.

If BR didn't already have a steadily high murder rate it might to reasonable to believe this was so unusual that something must be amiss. However, most just assume it is what it will likely turn out to be. Yet another senseless killing in a city where a murder occurs every few days or so. The only difference being that the victim didn't fit the same profile of most of the victims.

So serial killer is more reasonable than robbery gone wrong? Silly.
