To cut off power to houses where people are renting them on a short term basis and then having huge parties? Yeah, that’s a pretty acceptable thing to do since a lot of people were doing this and destroying homes.

It’s the mirror world of Die Hard, where the cops were shutting off utilities to parts of LA on Christmas Eve in an attempt to thwart terrorists.

Here, you have utilities being denied to people who want to celebrate the holiday.
