So 10% of what they would need to do to justify your numbers.

That's nice, I bet they took nice chunks of time off after that too. Floor nursing is exhausting work that is taxing on your body. but I'm sure you know this better than all the actual nurses

Right. Then they would take a weekend off and re-up on the next agency assignment….

Which would leave them not even close to the numbers you are saying "thousands" do every year in Louisiana alone

Also, where would all of these shifts come form to support these nurses' desire for all that OT? The math doesn't check out at all for what you're claiming, and I'm pretty sure you know that.

4,000 work year is impossible

Thousands of people in Louisiana alone do that every single year

We just throwing darts here or are there really thousands of people in LA working 333 twelve hour days a year?

What is the average pay for Lifeguards in LA, and how does it stack up against the average pay of other municipal workers? Taking the highest earners, including benefits, and writing an article with the intention of getting folks riled up isn't worth much without some comparison.

You want to go ahead and lookup what hospitals paid in nursing agency fees over the last two years? Shifts have to filled. There isn’t an option. And when you don’t have the bodies to fill them, agency nurses and OT does

You want to say admin should just pay the regular nurses more? Hell yeh I agree with you, but that ain’t my decision.

None of that has to do with what I'm asking you

You made the claim that you know of "several" nurses averaging 6 shifts a week for a year. You know that's bullshite, but you're gonna die on this hill I guess.

Between nurses, residents, plant baws, and single parents working two jobs, yes I think .025% of our population outs in 4000 hours of work a year

I won't necessarily dispute that there are people being paid for that. Thousands, no way, but I'm just guessing as you are.

Grow up with nurses that chase money for parents and am married to a young nurse that obviously knows lots of Ochsner nurses on various units at various locations, and I see what long stretches of consecutive shifts does to people. You won't get me to believe it, and I truly don't think you believe it either.

It’s California. Don’t know what anyone expects. It certainly can’t be fiscally responsible decisions.

Well friend, it’s easy to believe what you actually get to witness

But this is going nowhere, you say I am lying, I say you are an idiot for saying I’m lying. Nothing will change that, so let’s just agree to call me right
