Moron justifies a lifeguard making 500k.
Same Moron complains about high taxes.
Some people just can't connect the dots.

Congratulations on letting people steal time in plain sight.
But it would be tough for you to get your necessary 10 hours of great sleep a night like you love, so I understand

A salary of 150k for a Captain in California seems reasonable to me
He’s not a fire or police captain. He’s a lifeguard captain.
And in most of the world, having a salary means no overtime.

Fixed it for you chief.
Its a scam. His supervisor is terrible at his job, you would be terrible as a supervisor too, evidently.

I've worked 80 hour weeks. What I'm disputing is working 80 hour weeks for 52 straight weeks. That's almost 12 hour days, 7 days a week. Not one single day off, not one holiday, nothing.
The fact that you think that is possible is laughable.

Thousands of people in Louisiana alone do that every single year

I tried to be nice, but you are fricking clueless. I have witnessed women in their 20s work this OT amount in a hospital. I’m sorry it completely escapes your brain power to understand it’s possibility
I don't think you've seen nurses work 6 shifts a week for a year straight.

I agree, tons of people steal time. Seems absurdly easy under your watch

Because its a scam. Hell, i'm not even sure they had beaches open all year. I know they didn't the year prior.

let me start by saying this amount to a lifeguard is bullshite.
As for the possibility of OT, if he was on multiple fire details throughout the year, I imagine that those are counted as 24 hour work days. It doesn’t take too much time to add those up, especially if each stretch is more than a week at a time. That is the only way I see this being possible.

At least in LA, according to a coworker whose husband is a firefighter, they are capped at 16 hour days to account for sleep.
