It defines grooming as:

A person is guilty of grooming a minor when: (a) Being eighteen (18) years of age or older, he or she engages in grooming behavior directed at a minor who is under fourteen (14) years old with the intent to entice, coerce, solicit, or induce the minor to engage in sexual conduct with the person or another person;
or (b) Being a person in a position of authority or position of special trust, as those terms are defined in KRS 532.045, he or she engages in grooming behavior directed at a minor who is under eighteen (18) years old with the intent to: 1. Entice, coerce, solicit, or induce the minor to engage in sexual conduct with the person or another person; or 2. Develop an intimate or secretive relationship with the minor.

"Grooming behavior" means a course of conduct directed at a minor that is intended to establish an emotional connection with a minor through manipulation, trust-building, or influence to: (a) Facilitate future acts of sexual conduct; or (b) Normalize or desensitize the minor to acts of sexual conduct; even if no in-person meeting or act of sexual conduct is completed. This conduct may occur online or in person, through third parties, or by other indirect methods to facilitate the manipulation of a minor;

She sent texts to a student saying she loved them, admired, and was proud of them. She also had them meet her before school events. There was no touching and no pics of bobs and vagene sent.
Her FB is open. No pics are remarkable. Married in Dec of '22. it has always been visible that the wall was coming fast, and she would be a chunk, sooner than later. I bet she sweats a lot.

These cases are far more frequent than those of any church yet there’s never financial recompense for the families of these children.

I agree in principle, but the supply of teachers just isn't enough to make this happen. I think what they could look into is a progressive climbing in grades as you age and gain experience. Make all teachers starts in early childhood ages and then you can move up as you gain experience. But, even doing that won't solve it all as there has been cases where the teacher is in their 40s and 50s and still doing this stuff.

The churches that paid the price were the ones that hid and covered it up. Schools rarely do that

but i also think in this case the victim is probably either a) a minority or 2) female
since those relationships are still considered taboo as far as traditional white middle class society is concerned, i tend to think that is why the perpetrators always seem to be white middle class women

I think female. There were some huggy pics on her FB with her hugging other women and young teens hugging each other. nothing painted a bad picture alone, but a vibe began to appear.
