Millennials aren't having enough babies. No pressure, but that's one of the reasons that Kimberly-Clark, maker of Kleenex, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex and Depend, said has led it to slash costs by $1.5 billion over the next four years, including the elimination of 5,000 to 5,5000 jobs.

U.S. fertility rates in 2016 hit a record low of 62 births per 1,000 women of childbearing ages of 15-44, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. That was down 1 percent from 2015 and the trend continued in the first half of 2017 and was 60.0 births per 1000 women in the second quarter 2017.

So it's millennials fault that their other 3 products aren't selling?

Low birth rates are common in the industrialized world. If only the poors would simply bother to pull out everyone would be better off.

It's not the fricking that's the problem. It's that we're too smart to want to have kids at a young age and want to enjoy life while we are young.

I'm 31 and I've always wanted kids some day, but I just now feel like I'm at the right time in my life to start trying.

And unless you are lucky enough to naturally get pregnant without medical help...it is also too damn expensive to conceive or adopt.

It’s more expensive to raise a child today than it used to be.

So people who buy these products with their own money aren’t having kids? Just great. Cue the idiocracy couple at the beginning.

Because that’s relevant how? It’s not like test tube babies were prevalent in the 50s.

We're still one of three countries that aren't part of an aging population. Russia, Germany, Italy, China are again drastically.

Has the PT seen this? Kotex sales would soar.

This. I could have bought a nice F250 for what it cost for my two.

Merely pointing out that it can also be more expensive just to even get pregnant now. Most fertility treatments cost $$$ and mostly are not covered by insurance. Adoptions are also $$$.

Some couples may want to have a child but may not even be able to afford the treatments necessary to even get pregnant without going into a lot of debt.

You see more and more couples (even those young)facing fertility problems now. That was my point.

What do they want us to do, live beyond our means?

Wages are lower than ever before and cost of living is higher in comparison. We can't do anything about it. Maybe if boomers hadn't fricked the economy, millennials could afford more but instead we have to dig the country out of the hole they dug....

"Muh Millennials are living beyond their means and waste money"

"Muh millennials need to have more kids and raise them with the money they don't have"

Alzheimer's be setting in on some boomers.
