My first kid is approaching 2 years and it’s so fun watching her develop and grow. She’s started saying words and small sentences recently and showing so much personality

I’m trying to just enjoy the ride.

Our oldest will be 18 on Thursday and is leaving for college in the fall six hours away. I know she's ready and she's gonna flourish buy man I'm going to miss her. The youngest will be 13 and I know she's going to be graduating in the blink of an eye too!

Yep. Did a college visit with our oldest last week. Pretty sure we dropped him off at kindergarten about a week before that.

Nothing destroys me quite like Cats in the Craddle since I can’t get home to see my old man as much as I should.

Damn you.

my son is turning 2 in 2 months, felt like yesterday I was holding him in my arms for the 1st time.

I went to bed kinda late last night and slept in this morning but before his momma took him to daycare he came in my room and gave me a hug, makes me chop onions at 0620 in the morning

My oldest is halfway through her first year of college. It has been hard not having her live at home with us. My middle will be starting college in August. That's another one not living with us anymore.

I get sad when I realize that our days living as a complete family under one roof is more than likely over for good. It seems like we were cheated out of some years along the way. Surely it can't be over.

I'm in the middle of it right now. It's going to kill us mentally when they leave the nest one day I feel like. I just can't fathom life with them not under our roof.

The only stage I've found to have disliked was infant stage. Yall can have that shite! If there was a pause button I'd say between 7-13 yrs old would be the sweet spot!

Its hard to see past the routine of daily life but be sure to breakthrough it and see the forest for the trees.

My oldest is 13, I have no doubt the years will go fast until she goes off to college. I do not look forward to my emotions on that day.

Dropping them off at college is the worst. I still get choked up thinking about that day and it was 6 years ago. LOL

0 to 3.5 felt like a decade.

3.5 to 10 went by like a year.

Our son is 3, daughter just turned 1. This past December I was already having moments thinking that we only have so many more years of Santa, of Hot Wheels and dolls under the tree as opposed to clothes or electronics.

My hard-earned advice is always this to new parents:

No matter how hard you think it gets, NEVER wish for it to be later in time than it actually is. Because trust me: LATER IS DEFINITELY COMING AND IT WILL DESTROY YOU EMOTIONALLY WHEN IT GETS HERE.

We all hear it. We all know it. But man, it happens faster than you can even imagine.

For parents with younger kids… never let work be your priority. Never let an opportunity to spend time with them pass.

What seems like an inconvenience today will be a regret tomorrow.

My oldest is off on his own, my middle child is in college, and my youngest is a sophomore in high school. I've tried my best to make it a priority to never miss any of their events and be around as much as I could. Even with making that intent a priority in my life, now that their older and when I look back, it still feels like it wasn't enough.

We don't prioritize family enough in this country. We work ourselves to death only to look back and wish we spent more time with our loves when it's too late and laying on our death beds.
