Kenner police said they arrested 75 people for trespassing at the mall...

quote:

Police received an anonymous tip on June 30 reporting that Pamaran and others posted a video online touring inside the mall.

The video, which had accumulated more than 293,000 views at the time of the investigation, showed portions of the mall's interior and the individuals recording their activities for publication online, according to police.

They should be thrilled. That’s the most foot traffic that mall has had in years.

Most aren’t going to go into the Esplanade Mall so we need someone to take that risk… my thing is, if he got in and out, and this is based on a video, idk if they could prove it was him filming or when he got in there

Full disclosure, I went into the Lindy Boggs hospital one night, and me and friends once went to the abandoned Naval Base but didn’t go in

I didn’t realize it was shut down. I always went there in the 90s. It’s fascinating how well Lakeside Mall continues to thrive.

Partially shut down. I think the actual mall portion is shut down but target and dillards are open. Maybe a couple other things

The "Dirty Dillard's", like my wife calls it, is still open... Dillard's and Target are the only two stores

Hard to believe that place closed, it was awesome back in the 90's... Only local mall that had a Structure.

Picked up many women back in the 90's wearing clothes from Structure...

The neighborhoods around it had been going downhill, and when Katrina hit they all liberated merchandise from the mall.
