Never mind the fact that the Spanish (who were Caucasian) were the ones who created the drink in the 16th/17th centuries.

quote:

Commenters on Jenner's Instagram announcement and others on Twitter say that the model launching a tequila brand is an example of cultural appropriation.

"Something about Kendall Jenner making tequila rubs me the wrong way," one Twitter user wrote. "Like the idea of white celebrities taking from local Mexican artisans and profiting off our traditions and agricultural business yet only visit Cabos and Puerto Vallarta for vacation spots..."

It has to be exhausting to be an outraged liberal in the year 2021.

A big problem with today's society is that the media (and others) give a wholly disproportionate weight to the thoughts and opinion of one or just a few bozos on social media as if they speak for a HUGE proportion of 330 million people.

"Oh. This must be awful!!! 35 people on twitter didn't like it!

"Ok. What do the other 300 million people think?

Um, I'm not sure"

We have no sense of PERSPECTIVE in this country. NONE!

George Clooney
Sammy Hagar
The Rock

All non-hispanics that started tequila companies. Nobody batted an eye.

Man, some of the stories that are posted on the OT now are ridiculous. It's like a bunch of dudes looking at gossip sites and posting that BS here. It's really weird.

The best way to sell your shitty product is to get a celebrity to endorse it.

Kendall Jenner has never stepped foot in the distillery most likely.
