No, we would complain because we’ve been paying the “North Fort Bend Water Authority” fee, for over ten years. It’s more than the actual bill for water, and in some zip codes, doesn’t have a potential end date.

How do you propose we power these highly efficient desalinization plants?
Idk, go look at Saudi Arabia. They get 50% of their water through this process

They wouldn't pull this shite in The Woodlands.

Are you new to The Woodlands?
Nope, the joke just didn't land since it is tough picking up on sarcasm through text. We get weekly emails about how to conserve water and the HOA loves to send out fines in the mail.

Can someone give a Chicot aquifer update real quick? Trying to decide whether to move out of Louisiana.

Yeah, I really need to start paying attention to see if there are restrictions. I water daily in The Woodlands.
We're on voluntary 3 days, depending on address number, just outside The Woodlands.

These restrictions aren’t bad and pretty easy to follow. Yeah, meemaw is going to lose some flowers, but at least unlike California’s a few years ago, she can still shower.

They said adding water lost is fine
So they only meant for newly constructed pools? Or water features that lose water?
If so I will have no quarrel with Karen… this time.

You're not supposed to fill new or existing empty pools. Topping off existing pools that were already in use appears to be fine.

Prohibit establishment of new landscaping
Does this apply to new construction? Are builders required to sell a new home with dirt yards?

Thanks to no rain, my grass is dead and haven’t had to get out and work in 100 degree evenings all month.
My "yard" is 5 acres of a lot of field grass I mow with a ZTR. I am not watering that bullshite. Everything is pretty much dead...except for the areas over my lateral field

you need to read what the agreement between NFBWA and the City of Houston actually says. In short, it doesnt guarantee water. Any municipality that counted on receiving water from the City of Houston in a drought needs to re-examine their water system.

My water level gets down below tile to plaster? I’m adding. To not add and just watch water evaporate? Then we get a storm and you didn’t add water before? I’d prefer my pool not to raise out of the ground. Not even an inch or two.
Water bad arse alert

quote:Unless people continue to overuse a finite resource. They always start with how to conserve, here's a recommendation, here's a watering schedule, we are moving to no irrigation two days a week, so on and so forth until it eventually gets to fines and having to limit actual use. It's a shame 'adults' have to be told that during a drought using a finite shared resource has a negative impact on everyone in the supply line. The 'government overreach' with fines and rationing doesn't occur until the populace or at least a large percentage has ignored every recommendation and their hand is forced because of selfish pricks.

If fined...where does the money go?
Posted on 8/16/23 at 1:19 pm to RedRifle
Let’s see how much the country clubs adhere to that restriction for keeping some of those super nice golf courses, all green and lush

Can they water the golf courses?

Truth, imagine living as someone who wakes up and looks in the mirror and cant recognize how mentally ill they are by wanting to waste a resource at the expense of everyone else.
