At a previous job my department had a “data team” and their manager always always talked about their advanced “coding” in Dept meetings. One day I had a question for them that turned into a pretty long conversation. Turns out they don’t do any coding and are barely sufficient at sql
.

Does the OT realize the Karen meme was popularized by black people to describe white women?
Pretty sure the Karen “I’d like to speak to the manager” meme was around longer than that

You really going to act like oil refiners does not directly impact prices at the pump? And the price of crude doesn't affect the cost of production?

To be honest, I question anyone who uses the term, "Coding." It's a red flag for people that don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Ha! The O&G industry is one of the most subsidized industries in this country. They are in a state of perpetual bailout.

What, specifically, are you referring to?

This is where your ignorance is... oil refiners and oil producers are not the same... There is upstream, midstream and downstream.

What is the OT quota on getting the word Karen in per day?
About the same as using Jaxton or Braxxtyyin or some silly shite they use for kids names.

I'm not for a huge oil and gas bailout. Just wanting people to use a little common sense on how bad this is for so much of the population and most of it can't be blamed on the industry itself right now.
Isn’t O/G too big to fail though? They’re falling on hard times currently, but to think that they won’t be making billions hand over fist again this year is silly. They’ll make back what they lose within the year.

“Oil refiners” =/= American oil and gas producers. Yes, the large integrated oil companies also operate refineries. But 6 of 10 largest refining companies in the US (including the three largest) don’t have oil & gas production operations.

Wait, I said OPEC sets crude prices. You just said OPEC doesn’t set gas prices at the pump. But now you’re arguing that crude prices affect prices at the pump. Which is it?
