Exactly- like luggage fees with airlines, these fees are here to stay. Rising fuel costs was the excuse to implement them, but now fuel is at record lows and the fees are still there.

Most of the posters on this site are from Louisiana and Texas, which obviously rely more heavily on O&G.
Almost every other part of the country is absolutely loving these prices right now.

FYI the economy is already fricked. The virus sped it up but we were heading here anyway IMO and I have said so for a year now. The economy was artificially propped up by the Fed and still is as much as is possible right now.
Also, a lot of major financial firms went under in 2008. We took our hits and came out of it. The same will happen again.

That is, however, an extremely valuable skill. PL/SQL is more like a programming language, but I have written T-SQL (which is much less versatile) that is 5000 lines, so it can be somewhat complicated. SQL can be picked up by just about anyone with analytical skills though. The real coders are the ones who make Management Studio or TOAD.
