you’d better become a Karen too in this case then, because O&G directly or indirectly employs hundreds of thousands of people in the South. Especially in Louisiana and Texas.
Cool post tho bro. At least Karen limited her shitposting to Facebook

What is it about oil baws and linemen that make them feel the need to declare what they do for a living via truck decals and sharing kyle/kevin Facebook posts.

As do a lot of industries but they too have to live and die by the market demands AKA free enterprise. I do think it's silly that there are people out there thinking other working-class people should blindly find a way to prop up O&G. No one bailed me out when I had a ton of spec homes on the ground during the mortgage crises. I had to live with the hand that was dealt to me. It's life.

I remember when that came out we were on the rig and put it on. We made it about 4 mins.

He's right.
There are threads throughout OT history proving how right he really is.

I don’t either. WTF is the reference to? I see it a lot on here.
It used to mean something.
Now it apparently is just a catch-all for any woman with an opinion that you disagree with or don’t like.

Not trying to downplay your situation, but I am reminded pretty frequently of people who think the are coding, when the are doing nothing close to it.

Yeah, but a shitton of businesses and people did get bailed out during that fiasco. And that was something the industry caused.
I'm not for a huge oil and gas bailout. Just wanting people to use a little common sense on how bad this is for so much of the population and most of it can't be blamed on the industry itself right now.

Laughing at the people downvoting and disputing my point. Especially the ones with “oil...” in their user name. The poster above nailed it as well. O&G people somehow largely believe it is our duty to prop up their industry. I really can’t understand that when they will stand around and watch as other industries struggle. It is strange. Guy who posted about taking it in the arse during the mortgage crisis is one of the most relevant examples maybe ever posted on the OT.
