I can't tell if you did that on purpose, or just don't know any better.

They also actually don’t get paid very well. They do get retirement and insurance, which is no slouch. But their month to month check, unless at a badass charter school, is pedestrian at best in average. I mean, it’s a living for sure. But not much more.

This makes me think you're dumb.

This confirms it.

From my experiences working with teachers the last few months the ones who complain are the ones who are shite at it.

If you love what you’re doing you’re not going to complain about it and you’re going to excel.

Also the ones who bitch and moan are the vocal minority.

I know the county I live in...teachers right out of college starts out around 27-30K. At one point, the district and state needed teachers and included paying their student loans if they signed something like a 5 or 6 year contract.

Don’t get paid. Get paid for the 187 days worked and it’s divided by 12 for 1 check a month. But no most definitely do not get paid for days not at work. But continue in your misery anyways. I’m going fishing the next 60+ days.

Teachers have all summer to make up some additional cash. So they make around $45k a year without including summer side gigs. They are doing just fine. I don’t need to hear about them bitching about their pay when they don’t work every month of the year.
