re: Recommendations for a Feb mountain Cabin vacation? - Jvalhenson
Open to pretty much any eastern location. Little more worried about getting to far north in feb and getting to cold to be enjoyable but that’s a risk anywhere at that time i guess. ...

Recommendations for a Feb mountain Cabin vacation? - Jvalhenson
The wife’s bday is also Valentine’s Day and for her 40th she wants to go spend about 5 days in a cabin in the mountains type place. Not to concerned with skiing but snow would be nice which I know there is still plenty of in feb even outside the craziness of this year’s weather but also don’t w...

re: 410 for turkeys, who’s done it? - Jvalhenson
I’ve killed 2 with my old New England single barrel 410 but both were just flukes. Wasn’t turkey hunting either time. Both happened almost the same exact way in same area 3-4 years apart. Walking along creek fishing off bank and had 410 with 6s with me to shoot snakes. Saw turkeys out through the...

re: Changing seals in baystar hydraulic steering system - Jvalhenson
Not sure in the difference between bay star and regular sea star but with sea star it’s not hard but you do have to be careful and need the right tools. Spammer wrench to get the end caps off and the nuts in the rods may be difficult to remove depending on corrosion but should come off. The arms ...

re: Islamorada recs - Jvalhenson
Feel free to ask for specifics and I have some numbers I can’t share as well if y’all go the bring your own or rent a boat route. Cheap way to get a pile of numbers is the Hot Spots maps too. They have one for each upper middle and lower keys. Nothing on there is private of course but it doesn’t ...

re: Islamorada recs - Jvalhenson
I know you said anniversary but I am going to talk only about the fishing part. I proposed to my wife down there and been a few times and have a trip in the works for the next year or 2 but I bring my own boat. Its a long drag at 16 hours but IMO you can't replace having your own gear down there. ...

re: Biloxi gun show - Jvalhenson
Yea not much to look at. There is or was one beautiful BPR 30-06 there that I am really wanting to go back for. Tag had 900 on it which is a little to high for a gun I just want but would likely never hunt with but man it is pretty and fairly rare. Only made em for 4 years and they are really goo...

re: Biloxi gun show - Jvalhenson
Yea I ain’t doing all that. I def ain’t that hard up I’m very well stocked for the most part. Mainly I was just looking for some 7mm mag federal premium 165g BTSP as that is what I mainly hunt with and it has recently been discontinued so trying to find whatever I can of that. I’ve got enough to ...

re: Biloxi gun show - Jvalhenson
Didnt stay long had a few specific things I was looking for that of course weren’t there but in the hour or so I was there didn’t see anyone buy anything ha. Most everyone was just walking around laughing at the prices. Not to mention the majority of the ammo was clearly some old stuff that’s been...

Biloxi gun show - Jvalhenson
Went this morning. Pitiful. Terrible selection and ridiculous prices. 45acp 50 rounds ranged from 65$ to 135$. 380 from 52 to 75 a box. 9mm was 60-90. Very few decent guns there mostly just junk. By far worst gun show I’ve ever been to....

re: Federal American Eagle 9MM Available - Jvalhenson
I order from federal often and that is always on the emails and is referring to their cancellation policy for YOU to cancel your order not them cancelling it on you. Not saying they wont/cant cancel an order but that is referring to their customer cancellation policy....

re: What’s your Favorite Henry rifle - Jvalhenson
I have a .22 just the H001 model but it is really fun to shoot and accurate. being the basic model i dont mind carrying it through briar patches or throwing it in the boat to shoot squirrels in the river or shoot bullfrogs. would love to have a golden boy or a big boy but they a little to pretty t...

The trout will be in the deep holes but if you just wanting something that will stretch a line as was said before redfish and blackdrum will be all over the casino, piers, bridges harbors etc. Anywhere big structure is at they will be there too.
