The DEA has officially decided that a notorious fentanyl manufacturer’s synthetic marijuana product is safer and more medically valuable than actual weed.

we've had synthetic THC around for medicinal use for quite a while now.... Marinol (dronabinol)... Little capsules, have been around for a while now....

this isn't really anything new, other than the dosage form, being it's a liquid, which will mean quicker absorption...

and LA is pretty close to making marijuana available for medicinal use... i've already told y'all about the permit for marijuana pharmacies the Board of pharmacy is allowing pharmacists to apply for...

That's part of the problem with weed legalization. There's no legal limit, just a positive or negative. Surely we can come up with that, though.

I do think that with nationwide recreational legalization (not medical) there will be some tolerance levels set different than now. Current DOT cutoff

Initial test analyte - Marijuana metabolites

Initial test cutoff concentration - 50 ng/mL

Confirmatory test analyte - THCA1

Confirmatory test cutoff concentration - 15 ng/mL

That's really low and why some people test sometimes positive weeks after stopping (typically heavy users though higher is also supposed to be a factor due to fat solubility of THC if what I've been told is correct).

B. Most weed in illegal states is shipped by mail from legal states. Who smokes Mexican schwag?

Wrong

Most weed is grown in Mexico and smuggled over the border

Which is why sessions wants to build a wall

The government is basically saying that THC has no medicinal value when found in marijuana. But, when the same active ingredient is made in a lab, it's an effective medical tool. That's the most counter intuitive thing I've ever heard.

Yeah. When I inquired about our Colorado location, and drug testing, HR just kind of laughed. They said it wasn't on them to improve the test.

People who do work that is DOT regulated must use one of the DOT panels exactly. If your company wants to test for more or even have more stringent requirements, you have to pay for a separate test. At least that is how it was when I was involved with this on a management level. Typical Washington bureaucracy.

DOT bases it's testing on federal law so that will trump any state easing of marijuana laws.

This country if filled with mindless idiots already, can you imagine how bad it would be if you put gummies and oil in their hands?

I'll never understand the hysterics over legal weed.

Everyone I know who smokes has easy access to it, those who want the gluttony of legal recreation can go on vacation to one of the states that allow it, and most jurisdictions don't bother you over personal quantities.

It won't affect it at all. They test for opiods now as well as other drugs which be be legally available. If you test positive, provide your prescription, no harm, no foul. If you are not allowed to work while taking said medication (like an opiod) you are typically sent home without pay and allowed to return in 24-72 hours depending on how long the drug stays in your system.

I have a buddy that works for an oil and gas company. They hair test their employees and, according to their employee handbook, if they see in your hair test that you're drinking too much they have a right to fire you.

Alcohol didn't have a legal limit and a breathalyzer until the government made it legal and passed regulations.

There's no reason to have a limit or a test until it's legal and the regulations develop.

However, it'll be a really tough thing to gauge. I'm sure it'll be set absurdly low and arbitrary and used as a cash cow for police. Like alcohol.

Don't blame the boomers. If it were put to a vote in every state, it would be legal in all but the deep south and Utah IMO.

back in the day, yes. 100% correct. Now thanks to some states legalization no one needs to go to mexico to get high quality pot. But the longer we keep it illegal then yes large quantities will continue to come in from mexico.

Dude, huffing paint is fricking terrible. I'm pretty sure if you were walking around fricked up huffing a bag of paint, you'd go to jail if caught.

We need the supreme court to start hearing cases that matter. Legalize it. Big pharma will never allow this issue to be reviewed.

would have been nice but I don't even give a frick anymore and haven't for a long time...
I make regular trips to Colorado for the edibles/oils and my guy here at home for the flower is honest, discrete and reliable

simple possession no longer scares me and unless my home gets raided while I'm smoking a bowl im relatively safe from concern in the future

I wish, before any profits could be made on this synthetic THC, marijuana would be legalized at a federal level making all the R&D used to develop this be a loss.

Who am I kidding, there'd still be a push for hospitals to use the "superior" synthetic THC and they'd recoup their money through our insurance premiums.

I'm not saying that Trump will do it, but someone needs to drain the swamp. Too many parasites trying to feed off the middle class working families hard work.
