Had a boat parked near us on the lake on day with a jet engine in it.

I'm not going to lie...the sound of it starting up was awesome.

I remember seeing in a hot rod magazine years ago where some guy had put a Merlin engine in a Triumph Spitfire.

Turbine engines are not very efficient unless you have some way to recover the heat energy. Aircraft engines can use a recuperator to do that but I doubt there is enough space in that car to do it.

But I doubt he is worried about that anyway . At least JP5 is only about 2.21 per gallon..
