You see this is what the shite happens when you have doctors, politicians, and media all lying to you at the same time and changing their story almost as often as the day changes.
Even if masks were foolproof and did work (which I'm skeptical of anyway) why should the general public believe anyone at this point. Because we went from 1) the general public doesn't need masks to 2) masks might help to 3) the WHO saying that masks don't do anything to 4) we should wear masks to help our neighbor and old people to now 5) masks are the end all be all and will save the world from COVID.....I mean if that were the damn case why weren't we told this at the beginning...and don't give me any shite about supply....we were able to build more ventilators than ever in history in about 2 weeks.....we should have been able to make more masks than the world has ever seen in a shorter period of time than that. I mean hell we had little old ladies ramping up mask production the last month or so....why weren't we told that would help in March?
So please tell me why should I listen to doctors, politicians, or media now and not just make my own best decision for myself and my family.

Anything to kick the can just a bit further down the road and string people along until after Nov 3rd.

That’s not the point. The point is that nowhere is it written in the Shreveport Charter or Laws that the Mayor can impose the type of penalties that he was trying to force on the businesses.

You can take this and shove it. I'm against the whole mask thing, but the second I realized Perkin put all the heat on the businesses I started wearing them, just to not hassle them. I know plenty of people around here who thought and did the same. It was all businesses who filed the lawsuit btw, not citzens

For all his accolades, Perkins operates like he has an IQ hovering around 70. He can't even do corruption correctly. I mean if you're going to slide your boys some cash, at least try to be smooth about it.

Really can’t make this up. Rumor is the mayor got pulled over for dui and was allowed to go home with no charges. Perkins has to have one of the lowest iqs for a mayor in the entire country. Bad day for him today.

Clueless moron is clueless. If you had actually read the executive order put out by this clown mayor, and had the IQ and honesty to interpret it in proper context, you'd know this mandate had nothing to do with public safety. The very fact that Bossie City/Parish didn't issue such a mandate automatically invalidated what little public health benefit there could be and did nothing but funnel millions of dollars out of Shreveport and Caddo Parish.
