My sister and brother-in-law have a business in Hattiesburg. Over the last week they've had two different customers come in telling the same story...

They go to get tested for COVID.
They are told to wait in their car to be called.
They never get called (thus, never tested) so eventually they leave.
They do not try to get tested again.
A couple of weeks later they receive a letter stating they've tested positive for COVID.

WTF, MS?

The exact same thing happened to someone I know. Went to get tested...game them their info...waited and waited, but never got tested. Next day they received a call saying they were both positive.

While anecdotal, we are seeing similar reports all over.

Because of the inherent corruption in the medical billing process, I tend to believe this is happening and likely happening on a large scale.

And I think it is fueling the "spike".

Happened to one of my coworkers.

He filled out the paperwork, then was told to get in line. Got tired of waiting after an hour and left. Got a call a couple days later saying he tested positive.

After some of the data debacles here in Louisiana, we definitely are not the ones qualified to answer your question.

Bumping in effort to get more feedback.

This needs to get the attention it deserves.

At this point, is it anecdotal? yes. Is it relying on honest responses? Yes.

I do however have trust in those that do post here and if you get enough anecdotal information, it deserves a serious look from someone in place to investigate in legitimate fashion.

Who do you even report this to? The state health departments would have to know this crap is going on OR even if they do they’ll never admit it.

I’m so pissed right now that I could scream. Because of things like these anecdotal stories, I’m not getting tested for exposure. I’m not getting tested if I don’t feel right but I will stay home and away from people. I’ll go to an ER if I’m sick enough but f every bit of this.

What is the f*#%*?^ answer??

That is a tough question. If all else fails call the producers of Tucker Carlson. They get enough calls they may look into it. And if they come up with anything, there are lots of folks that would hear about it. Someone may then held accountable.

Then again, it may be akin to pissing in the wind. We are living in some sad times.

Are you seriously living on an island? Tell me if life is likely any better there than it is where we are right now in the states.

Okay, this is a friend of a friend story.

Coworkers wife claimed 4 nurses she used to work with went to get tested in Texas. After signing in and waiting a very long time they left without getting tested. They all were notified later that they had tested positive for COVID even though they never took the test. They called to question what was going on and were just told their names would be taken off the list.

It used to be, but progs run this place as well. Before the resistance movement started on the mainland (i.e. that is before President Trump was elected) we could mostly ignore it. Now it is becoming a challenge. We are looking at retirement next year to Panama. I pray and think Trump will be re-elected but the left will take over at some point. I sincerely wish you all the best. I feel bad for those stuck with the results, and their children.

Believable story up until the end. More than likely the letter did not tell them they had Covid-19. With most electronic medical record systems there are form letters generated when tests are scheduled and not performed. If they went through the process of waiting in the cars they were registered in the EMR as a suspect of Covid-19 and was probably sent a form letter of some kind.

So I replied to a post on fb about this possibly happening. My cousin relied that he was in line this am to be tested and that no one even gave their info before they got tested.

I guess some states are doing it differently??

The same type thing happened to my brother-in-laws cousin.
She was scheduled to go in and get Covid test. She cancelled appointment due to some type conflict in her schedule.

5 days after the scheduled appointment she got a letter telling her she had tested positive for Covid giving her instructions what to do next.

She called GA Public Health Dept and they were not helpful at all. As of last weekend, she listed as a positive Covid person.

Between anecdotal incidents like this, the TX Dept of Health reclassifying what qualifies as a positive case, and the African president sending animal & fruit swabs to their lab and they all come back positive, it's a wonder anyone trusts our elected officials at this point.

And you likely shouldn't.
