In a Facebook post after the event the black guy admitted to not so subtly threatening to harm her dog. Kind of an important thing that got left out of the narrative.

fair examples of the media using their coverage to push their agenda regardless of facts. love it.
and while i agree with you 100% that we as an internet society struggle with forming fair opinions of people/situations via a 30 second viral clip on the internet. But in this case, we now have plenty of evidence the judge is just an a-hole in general and this clip proved it. again, he deserves every bit of backlash he recieves.

That's exactly what it is. You can always identify the losers from HS that are getting back at society once they get in any position of authority

Are you referring where he said he keeps treats on him, as owners who refuse to leash their dogs generally don’t like strangers offering their dogs treats, so they leash them once he offers?
If so, no, him offering dogs treats (even as manipulation) does not justify her calling 911 and claiming he threatened her life. If not, what are you referencing?

You don't have enough information to make any of these judgements. Could be the problem happened many times before and the IT people never solve it beyond "it's working now." I can think of an infinite number of other things.
Seriously, how many fricking times do we have to see a tiny video that gives a completely false impression once we learn more later on before we learn to stop doing this shite???? Time does not actually begin when someone presses RECORD.
Imagine how much you have to hate black people to watch this video and have this strong of a defense for the judge

agreed. The IT guy was being genuine and trying to lighten the tension of the situation. the judge deserves all the backlash he receives online, completely unprofessional.
as an IT guy, there is time that levity helps. His comment of "false alarm" was just lightening the mood.
I do some large network installs with firewalls and small ones. I've been in the room with $2mm of services on the line and people were jovial and took the jokes while we worked through issues.
i've been in the room where a measly $5k is on the line and everybody in the room as an absolute a-hole at small things.
Read the room, but the judge is a dick.

A mildly snarky IT guy and an a-hole judge. This is news?

That’s how I took it. Like he was just trying to find a way to end the awkward interaction. The “false negative?” comment immediately after was probably ill-advised but at that point you can tell the judge’s reaction caught him off-guard and he’s just trying to diffuse the situation.
It’s easy to say “read the room” after the judge blows up on him. Maybe the IT guy should have known the judge was a colossal a-hole and treaded carefully, but none of that excuses the judge for being a colossal a-hole in the first place.
Especially with the other emails that have surfaced from the same judge. He seems completely unprofessional, and I’d like to think we hold judges to a slightly higher standard of professionalism than IT folks anyway.

Nope. I get along with our IT people great. But there are absolutely some people here where the IT guy has burned the bridge and they now reflexively treat the IT guy like the judge did.
I’m not defending the judge, I was just making a joke about IT guys.

Saw another anecdote about the judge:

If tweet fails to load, click here. quote:
You know, Judge Milliron holds all these people around him to a very high standard. But that's a curious stance considering what happened to his former client Gerald Roca, who lost about $300,000 when a motion for summary judgement was granted against him because no response was filed on his behalf. Milliron had become a judge, you see, so Roca no longer had a lawyer. But Milliron didn't formally withdraw from the case. And no new counsel took over the case. And when the plaintiff's counsel filed the MSJ, no one responded. And Milliron's (former) client lost 300 bands.
Tough luck I guess!

It wasn’t that big of a deal until the judge asked about his supervisor at the very end. What a bitch.

Him telling her he'll "do what he wants and she won't like it" before trying to lure her dog with a treat is an obviously implied threat.
But it doesn't matter whether you think she should have called the cops. What matters is that you realize that there was more to that exchange than the guy's race and the world reacting as though there wasn't is an example of a viral video missing some pertinent information.
She didn't get fired because she called the cops. She got fired because people thought her motivation for calling the cops was simply his race.
