WOMAN:”I just ate a bunch of pills”
M: “I think that you’re cray”
W: “how bout we Netflix and chill?”
M:”I wish I had not, swiped her on tinder”
W: OMG did you just Assume my gender!?”
M:” I don’t like your purple hair”
W:”hey mister my eyes aren’t down there!”
M”your shirt it says, ‘look at my tits’”
W:”bet you voted for trump, racist bigot!”
M:”ok now please go.”
W:”I hope that I’m not on tape”
M: “get out of here ho”
W:”I’m gonna claim I was raped”
“I’ll dox you on tumblr,
And then we’ll protest outside!”

The original is awesome and nothing nefarious if examined in the proper context of the time

John Legend might have a thing for THICC women.

Clarkson ain’t THICC. She’s looks like a troll, and not the cute little pudgy kind that 90’s kids played with. I’m talking about the scary under the bridge trolls. It’s weird.

The problem here is that she is quite clearly the type of woman who would want a man to act like a man rather than a limp wristed bitch.

Having said that, the song is a little rapey.

Do “these people” (progs, blue check marks, celebrities, etc.)actually believe stuff like this will be helpful?

Do they really think normal guys are out raping and assaulting because they don’t know better? That rape and other sexual assault isnt committed by genuinely bad or mentally ill people?

Or is it just a way to get some clout?

No it isn’t and anyone who thinks that has a severe misunderstanding of the lingo from the time it was written and the social mores of that period

It is kinda creepy, but I've never picked up anything all that rapey in it. Perhaps the line of him offering to pour her a drink, then her asking what is in it could be construed as him pouring a strong drink to lower her inhibitions. But even that's a stretch.

Pretty dumb to re-make it.

So what does the original line mean?

That’s because people don’t get that “hey, what’s in this drink?” Was a running gag during the period

quote:

First up is the most disturbing line: "What's in this drink?" By modern standards, it's a pretty clear reference to date rape, but the author of the post writes that it was a standard joke when the song was created. "The punchline was invariably that there’s actually pretty much nothing in the drink, not even a significant amount of alcohol," they write

There wasn’t much of anything in the drink. She wants to stay. She’d defying the societal expectations that say she can’t be there.
