You can't cancel Rogan, he'll cancel you.

What do you want him to do? Cut off his mic? I'm not sure about Corsetti, but he stopped Peterson when he said that and asked him to explain what he means when he says "climate doesn't exist"...

And Joe as the host put up an argument against what Peterson was saying. He got pretty heated at Candace Owens for being a denier.

I’ve seen so many people in comment sections bitching about Rogan and it’s painfully obvious they never watched/listened more than 15 mins of the show.

there’s a slight difference between removing

“I am a Gay Book” from 3rd/4th grade curriculum

vs banning
Of Mice and Men
Grapes of Wrath
Dr Seuss

but dolts like you can’t see the nuance.

He’s saying the exact thing he’s said 1000 times on his podcast when someone has an issue. IMO, it’s a subtle “go frick yourself” response. He’s not changing a thing and didn’t give anyone any sound bites to cut up and dissect

Exactly what I thought when I listened to it.

That's not true. As soon as you hitch your wagon to something or someone and become dependent upon them for anything, you can be cancelled. When he signed that Spotify contract he weakened his position to cancel culture. He gave them a target. He is cancelable in the sense that his current iteration can be canceled.

Rogan had "frick you" money from his Fear Factor days. He didn't need the money, or he shouldn't have needed the money.

It will be very interesting, and telling, when this Spotify contract runs out.

He has the means and the draw to create and develop his own platform. Let's see if he has the balls.

Did you really not listen to the whole point he was making about the climate

I did. Listening to the whole podcast now. I get the point that climate is an ever evolving thing. But I think we all know what climate is and how its perceived in general discussion. Its a dumb argument he's trying to make. Liking everything else he's discussing though so far. Everybody can say stupid shite sometimes.

This has nothing to do with Joe Rogan and everything to do with the cult of the left stifling any speech they don’t agree with.

You don't think he has a responsibility to let his listeners know that a particular guest, doctor or otherwise, does not necessarily represent accepted and peer reviewed theories?

He's a major podcaster, if not the preeminent podcast host on this entire planet. People of all stripes listen to him and his guests. I feel he gains a lot of listeners by interviewing people from the counter-culture, those with interesting and controversial viewpoints; a modern day Art Bell. Personally, I believe you have to take some responsibility when you wield the sort of power Rogan does and issuing a disclaimer seems like a very reasonable way to take responsibility for spreading (what could be) complete horseshite medical advice to millions of listeners.

No, I don't believe he does.

Mainstream newspapers get entire narratives wrong all the time. NPR ran with a story about the Supreme Court weeks back that resulted in a public rebuke by Supreme Court justices. Why is it that the people who have to be responsible for something always seem to be challenging a left-wing orthodoxy? Why are conservatives railroaded off social media but not Louise Mensch, who hasn't published an honest story in almost 5 years.

Or, and I know this is a crazy idea, let the listener decide what to make of the information. I know it is wild, but maybe it can be an option.

“misinformation” is nothing more than leftist jargon for “i don’t like you having a platform because you don’t think like i do”. admit it.

they don’t care that it wasn’t he who said it. they don’t care that a lot of COVID info has been wrong from everyone from the beginning. they don’t want him or his guests being able to give an opinion other than the scripted response the Left has approved. if he or Spotify can’t do that - Rogan is the enemy and must be ruined.

he gets 11 million listens a day. CNN doesn’t get that many views in a week total. And the Left and the media and social media cannot fricking stand they can’t control it. it eats at them.

Should the CDC, Foxnews, CNN, NPR, and MSNBC be forced to air disclaimers?

Because every single one of them has spread complete horseshite medical advice.

It was rhetorical. You do and you respond to them.

Your 'misinformation' diatribe is horseshite. Content today is horseshite and every side of the political octogon eats it up. Grow up.

He’s not caving, just saying he’s sorry if you can’t handle different viewpoints.

I think he’s been pretty fair - he had Osterholm (one of the most pessimistic researchers) on right when this thing hit.

I personally chose to get the vaccine and disagree with a good number of his guests… but that’s sort of the point.
