Sounds like he just wanted time off.
The blackface "scandal" was weeks ago and has been all but forgotten.

Kimmel, as a co-host of the "The Man Show," performed a recurring skit that included him dressed in blackface as then-NBA star Karl Malone.
I just don't see the problem. At all. It SHOULDN'T be controversial, and those who make an issue out of it are, quite frankly, being stupidly idiotic.
That being said... it's Jimmy Kimmel. Screw that guy.

Nuance doesn't exist. If it can't be said in 280 characters, no one will read it.
Listening to Brett Weinstein this morning and he makes a good point that this movement is a result of the explosion of "critical theory" - which has no academic merit - in academic institutions.
In a sense, it is really a return to the Dark Ages but with a new demagoguery.

Again, dude has been at home for months with his family. And he suddenly wants to spend "even more time" with his family. Talk show hosts traditionally take off for two weeks in the summer (sometimes 3), but they don't take off for months just to spend some more time with family.

The point it people are tired of the “rules for thee but not for me.”
People’s lives and businesses get ruined daily by the cancel culture and fricks like Kimmel with his closet full of skeletons celebrate and perpetuate it.
Turnabout is fair play

Not sure, but he does have a tactical gear store in Metry. Maybe Kimmel Maybe Kimmel can buy a tactical vest to make amends.

agree...he deserves to be eaten by his own. Not necessarily because of his beliefs, but more so because of how disingenuous he's always seemed with the holier than thou shtick when some of his most famous work was him sitting in black face on a show about women and titties.
I wonder if tears welled up in his eyes like he does when he has those faux remarks about the hurt and pain he feels for other people... fricking douche

Why does he only have to apologize? Fire his as and destroy his career like everyone else’s to be fair.

He's not going anywhere. They're putting him on the sideline until the racial tension calms down a bit. He'll be back to his TDS routine soon. They need him too much for election season.
You're probably right, but I can still hope it turns out like Matt Lauer's sabbatical.
