KPLC

Got to be first to the punch. What sheep Parishes follow suit. Maybe it’s a ploy to weed out the serial killer.

What is a curfew going to accomplish? Lots of large gatherings during those hours?

Gotta love this though.

Don’t come out in public... unless it is to give the government some money.

That's a pretty weird parish to be the first.

When has the government ever used logic when curtailing civil liberties?

Sounds like they don’t feel like patrolling at night

This shows you there is no rhyme or reason to most of this. It’s who can go the furthest first.

Government types love to pig pile. Virtue signal and one up the other authoritarians. They have ZERO reason to do such a thing.

The Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office also said that beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020, it will not provide fingerprinting for school employment, nursing, expungements or carry concealed weapon applications. All visitations with inmates are canceled, except for off-site video and telephone calls.

The administration office for the Jefferson Davis Sheriff’s office remain open for payment of taxes, fines and bonds, but officials are asking that residents not enter the administration building if they are sick, feverish or have any flu-like symptoms.

So we're basically shutting this shite down but if you have to pay a ticket come on by!!!

See...they’re already trying to one-up each other. By time Ouachita announces theirs, it’ll be from 12PM to 11AM

It's probably to curb possible looting. Nip it in the bud before it actually happens

So if they aren’t patrolling, how are they going to enforce the curfew?

This wouldn’t make much difference to me. Not much reason to go anywhere if everything is closed.

Does Jefferson Davis Parish even have a coronavirus case? Looks like they are just trying to put their boot on the parishes neck.

That's what curfews during/after hurricanes are for because most of the town is abandoned because people evacuated. Its the exact opposite in this situation as nobody is traveling around and everyone is in their houses. I don't see the purpose of a curfew for this situation
