I've owned my Jeep for 11 years now and it's only had 1 issue (that I caused). It's been very reliable, contrary to what people say.

ETA: I can also sell it for about 75% of what I paid for it 11 years ago.

I bought one new back in 2014. It was fun while I had it. My mistake was trading in my truck on it. I kept it a year and let it go because I just need a truck too much.

Weird bumb, but a 6 year old jeep has probably been scrapped by now.

Be sure to get some rubber duckies so you can duck people. Jeep waving folks love ducking one another.

It's unlimited because of the unlimited amount of time it will sit "buttoned up". Every 4 door jeep owner I know has taken the top and doors off only once since they bought it. Why? Because its a monster pain in the arse. They don't make half doors for the 4 door, so you have the 100lbs/door full doors. You'll get a soft top, but with the full doors, it's really just a big sunroof. Don't get me wrong, its a great rig. I just see people getting them so they can roll with it open and then realizing after one or 2 times that they should've just got a 4x4 cherokee with a sunroof.

You don't know me but I bought my JKU in September and have had the top off at least half the time that I have had it. In fact I just put the top back on last night after having it off for 10 days because of the forecast of rain later today and tomorrow.

It is a pain in the arse to take the hard top off but I had a hoist installed under my carport that makes it a one man job to take the top off in about 15 minutes.

I started reading this thread without realizing it was 6 years old and was thinking I should buy a Jeep if the MSRP is only $47k for a loaded one and 4k of discounts... times have changed

Bought an 05 TJ and had so much fun fixing it up that I just bought an 01 to do the same.

I have a 2002 TJ. Just under 40k miles. Bought it 15 years ago. Never drive it. Just can't bring myself to unload it.

Sold my 98 wrangler last year. One of the most dependable vehicles I've ever owned, and that includes 3 toyotas.
