He is going to apologize for his abysmal job performance starting with the day he was elected. He will cut off the fingers on his right hand in a meager attempt at atonement.

Medical community gets back to work. Everything else remains the same for at least 2 more weeks

He will throw a small bone but not do anything of note until 5/15. Shelter in place will expire but still nothing will really be open.

I just want to see Latoya start to lose it when the state lose a restrictions and More people in NOLA start ignoring her order.

What will be different in two weeks? Two months?

Nothing. It will be extended at the end of each period.

Are we allowed to move out of Louisiana? Probably not much longer.

I'd be OK with that. Better than continuing to keep all those places closed indefinitely.

Definitely two more weeks. I don’t think he ends it here. But he also really can’t justify another month at this point.

He’s stated multiple times he has no intention of extending the order.

Stay at home through May 15 and then Phase 1 begins. Can't be too careful or our hospitals may get overrun with Covid 19 cases.

Re-open gyms and nail salons, barber shops, beauty salons, etc, with 50% capacity

Re-open malls possibly with limited hours / days, as well as all other non-essential retail, still with 6 foot spacing and capacity limits

Restaurants in-location dining allowed with 50% capacity.

I'd love to see things like that start to happen but he's going to do everything in his power to prevent it for another 2 weeks. He wants to get as many people as possible on the government tit

This is the kind of stuff that doesn’t make any sense. Pack all the customers into the store in a 6 hour day instead of a 10 hour day.
That and the stores that are leaving only one entrance and exit open so everyone can pack in and out of one set of sliding doors.

Are we supposed to believe that he's the first politician to never tell a lie?

I don't think there is any reason to continue a total shutdown. A phased re-opening is appropriate and it's time to begin that.

JBE is to the left of most of this board, but despite what many think, he's not some bat-shite-crazy leftist big government tool. He's on the left, all right, but probably one of the more conservative Dem governors. Some of them relish all this control, but I don't think he's one of them.

Does Edwards have the power over the Mayor of New Orleans when it comes to ending the stay at home? I know LaToya extended the city's until the 15th but if Edwards ends it on the 1st which one is in effect? Does she outrule him within her City? I was told over the weekend she actually has the power over him but can't find anything one way or the other.

You are missing the point where there are also capacity controls, and a spaced line outside and inside.

It's not like we have a free-for-all during those 6 hours.
