so like youll have to work out in a mask?
Yep.
Plus reduced capacity.
And of course all the general screening, sanitizing, and social distancing.

Well I actually know someone that owns a few AF and they arent expecting to stay open 24 hours....AF arent set up to be staffed 24/7
Obviously that's up to the gym, just saying that they CAN be open 24/7 if they can staff it 24/7. At least in TN.

wonder how cross fit gyms are going to follow this? Cross Fit gyms all share the same equipment during each workout and they dont clean until after the class is over.
Try doing cross fit with a fricking mask on...yeah...someone is going to die

The whole purpose of this was to make sure hospitals are not overwhelmed. Well they look back to normal to me.
They aren't back to normal, and they aren't overwhelmed. Still a higher than normal utilization, and that utilization will increase as more non-COVID use happens.
But we have the capacity to open up more than we currently are.

That's expected when they reopen, but that doesn't mean the hospitals are going to be overwhelmed again. We can't be scared of a small spike or this will last months.

Either they are going to say frick it, and break the rules... or they won't really be able to operate like normal.
Here's the full rules list for gyms... most other subdivisions only require masks if you're going to be within 6' of someone.

• Continue to follow the “General Guidelines for
Everyone Throughout all Phases” (pages 14-16)
and the Phase One “General Guidance for
Employers and Other Organizations” (page 17)
except as modified below.
• Even when 6 feet of physical distancing can be
maintained, employees and patrons must wear
face coverings.
• Sanitize surfaces and items between users.
• Treat every patron and employee as if they are
potentially infectious.
• These facilities can only operate if 6 feet of
physical distancing is maintained at all times AND
face coverings are worn because heavy breathing
while exercising is thought to be an activity that
expels significantly more virus than talking.
• Patrons and employees must be screened for
exposure and illness prior to the service (Use the
screening questions from the employee entrance
safety sign that will be available on the website).
• Equipment must be sanitized between users.
• Operate with staffed hours only. Guest use is not
allowed.
• Limit occupancy to five members per 1,000
square feet while also maintaining 6 feet of
physical distancing between patrons. Limit
workout times as needed to accommodate
members and limited occupancy.
• Equipment should be moved, restricted or
marked off so clients can only use machines that
are at least 6 feet apart.
• Members must wash or sanitize their hands upon
entering the facility.
• Signs must be visible at the entrance, front desk
and throughout the facility stating that sanitizing
stations must be used before and after the use of
each piece of equipment.

Yep. And I sure as hell won't be taking a spin class with a mask on. That would suck.

No point in opening the small Anytime Fitness I go to if those are the rules.

Does Edwards have the power over the Mayor of New Orleans when it comes to ending the stay at home? I know LaToya extended the city's until the 15th but if Edwards ends it on the 1st which one is in effect? Does she outrule him within her City? I was told over the weekend she actually has the power over him but can't find anything one way or the other.

I've heard that's happening in several departments, but it's the ones where the medical staff isn't being used for COVID issues.
I would imagine that would reverse itself once stuff opens back up, though.

Mississippi constitution / structure isn't the same as Louisiana... LA has arguably the most powerful governor in the country.
