I went after it shut down a few years ago but I ran away when I saw a homeless person eating a dead body.

I went there with my young daughter when it was branded Six Flags. It was summer and hot as hell. I guess the park was ok. We did all of the rides and stayed as long as we could bear it in the summer heat. I recall there were misting and cooling stands all over where you could cool off a little.

It was ok (not great) as an amusement park. Katrina killed it.

Now if you want to talk about Pontchartrain Beach-That place was fun.

I had season passes . It was always a fun day .
It was never overly crowded, I think the location may have played a part in that.

Same here. I got an annual pass and went a few times. Enjoyed the rides, but it felt like it was missing something. It tried to be a local Disney World without a theme.

After a few visits, the rides got tiresome and it started feeling dated after the first year. I remember one ride, I don't remember the name, but it was some type of Joker or Mardi Gras ride that was filled with the cue with videos of Nancy Parker doing news reports on monitors about a Joker type clown taking over Mardi Gras. That ride was nice because it was air conditioned.

The first year they also had a ride where you got to experience a hurricane in 4D where they sprayed you with a mist and a stiff breeze. That one was another fun ride to go on just to get out the heat.

MegaZeph was another cool ride, but that one had the longest cue for it.

The first year, I even remember them doing a water show on their fake beach that no one could get into the water.

When Six Flags took over, it was just a little too late in updating the venue, and I out grew my going to the park days.

Brought one of my boys way pre-Katrina and it actually was a decent park.

Never went

Heard it was hot, sweaty, and chimpy

We had annual passes and went quite a bit in the summertime as kids. It was fine for what it was. I remember the Jean Laffite ride and the Batman rollercoaster being pretty cool.
