The Nobunaga account is hilarious.

Just saw this one about a trip to a Mexican restaurant.

And that was in a Cracker Barrel. He might orgasm if he tried real biscuits and gravy from South Louisiana.

I like the story, but I am in the minority....I do not like biscuits and gravy. Would much rather that biscuit in about 100 different forms.

ETA: that was in a Cracker Barrel? Their biscuits with blackberry jam are just the best.

I saw that video earlier. I took my first shot recently at deep fried bone in pork chops, followed instructions to the letter, used a food thermometer, covered in peppered white gravy and it was absolute heaven. I was so proud to nail that first try, while I overcooked the first chop being overly cautious, I got the temp down after that.

Its so satisfying to get in the kitchen and try new stuff, experiment with dishes, and find the right balance while eliminating mistakes until you end up with another meal under you belt that's absolutely delicious. We live in a media age that makes being a good cook far more accessible and we have our whole lives to test things out and perfect your dishes.

Southern breakfasts, in and out, CFA fast food….All of these videos are catering to the American masses on social media that drive engagement. They know we are suckers and enjoy validation.

Oh hell no. I tried chocolate gravy and biscuits while visiting friends in Oklahoma and did not care for it at all. One of those moments when you have to smile, finish the dish and then claim you're cutting back and can't eat more.
But, if you like it, eat away.

I tried it at Stobys in Arkansas and it was good.

I couldn't eat very much of it or it would make me sick.

Chocolate gravy and biscuits are hard to make and you probably got them from folks that didn't know how to make them.

Introducing non-Texans to biscuits and gravy has been a delight in my life, mostly Yankees, a few Australians
