That’s the new in thing. It’s in style to blame those fighting on the good side if there are civilian casualties. People are incapable of realizing the real blame for civilian casualties lies with those on the wrong side. Granted, sometimes there is doubt as to which side is right or wrong, but in the case of WWII there is zero doubt. The Germans are 100% to blame for any and all civilian casualties, even those casualties resulting from allied weaponry.

What does one honestly expect from Marxists doing everything in their power to end America as you know it? They are consistently on the wrong side of everything that is actually good about America and the wrong side of that which is bad about America as well. They divide, pump nothing but negativity, and champion everything that’s nasty and destructive They decide what is considered “the news of the day” by what they choose to cover, and then they tell you how you should view it, or they cast you in a bad light if you don’t tow the line of their collective thought.

Best answer is to tune them out completely. Pull the plug and don’t plug it back in either.

I'm the type that wants the truth. However it happened, whatever happened, that's what I want to know.

BUT

This is not the day for that.

Yeah civilians were killed & that's tragic. I'm sick of these loons using today's standards for 50, 60, 70, 80 or even 200 years ago.

It's a cynical manipulation of history & public opinion.

I mean they cry and moan over it more than anyone else. Everyone else understands war isn't pretty and this is why we try to avoid it at all costs.

it’s so fricking par for the course for American publications to try and mislead readers

at saying this when you want us to just take your word for whatever it is you claim was so horrible even though you couldn't even bother to at the very least quote the offending passages.

Also you sound shocked that the media would paint America in a bad light. Is what I am saying that far fetched?

What you are saying you just made up in your mind to fit the narrative you want. This was actually a story about people loving America but you looked past it.

Also telling stories about things that actually happened in history is not painting a bad light.

Really shoehorning in and emphasizing the allied bombing of French towns during the invasion of europe, which resulted in civilian casualties.

There are at least 4 articles on NBC about D-Day and you get your panties in a wad about this one LINK

The guy is flying the American flag and talks about how thankful he is. The article tells a story about what a ton of people endured to win the war and "it's flipping the narrative". Every person they interview says it was necessary but yet you it to fit your narrative.

People like OP will try to find anything they can to be a victim and be miserable.

The French people in that area absolutely love Americans. They fly American flags year round in some towns to this day.

True. I have been there, seen the burned out German bunkers, the bomb craters and the German enforcements that were destroyed. Stood in the bunkers and looked out the slots the German machine guns fired from towards the American heroes that were exiting the landing craft as the gate dropped and could not imagine how any of them survied.
Seen the white crosses lined up in perfect lines where almost 10,000 brave Americans are buried and am not at all ashamed I as tears ran down my face.

And yes, the French citizens of that area love Americans and will tell you so when the realize you are an American.

This is absolutely atrocious and exactly the argument I’ve made about the Israeli protest people going around.

I love to get these people face to face and ask what should have been done. It’s a shame, terrible, whatever negative adjective you want to use, but without an absurd amount of civilian casualties we are all nazis today. (At the very least Europe but I’m well versed in my history and there’s no way Hitler allows America to survive once he finishes Europe/UK)

F’em

If they didn’t want potential allied bombs/artillery raining down on their homes then maybe they should have fought harder in 1940 to keep the Nazi’s out in the first place.
Instead we had to send our boys over there to do the job for them.

That's because the good ol boys are primarily conservative. Those w nationalism are viewed as right wing extremists so anything and everything we stand for has to be picked and prodded, then immediately flipped. The division and stupidifying of the country is really reaching its peak. The percentage of adult children that make up our country has gotten out of hand and were feeling the effects of it.
