Until they stop prosecuting non violent crimes, than I will support them 100%. It's not all on the police or even the majority for that matter though. Laws enacted by politicans is the root problem. We have way too many laws where people with families end up in cages for far too long.

The majority of the time? You base this on what? The one obvious example where you're right like Ferguson?

frick no I got a ticket this weekend!

Wish they would let me spend the $225 buying officers a round rather than go towards the shite hole town I got the ticket in. These boys need a break, they have been catching a lot of shite lately.

No, it's not, it's just time to stop jumping to conclusions. The media needs to wait a hot minute before crucifying any event based on 1 minute of video. Using the police to make social policy is a recipe for disaster and will never work.

Do something wrong, expect appropriate repercussions, cop or criminal, and blind benefits to anyone is a recipe for disaster.

LEO's need to be held accountable for their actions, period. When they do their job well, they should be commended. When they do it poorly, they need to be called out.

I hate that the support of LEO's has become a political thing. If a cop makes a shitty decision, I'm not going to support he or she just because of a political stance. They're dealing with people face to face, and their decisions have lifelong consequences. They need to be supported when they're doing things the right way, and called out when they're not.

I don't give 2 shits if an overzealous cop kills a career criminal. In fact, I applaud it.

You're probably (I hope) being facetious, but there are many people that believe this.

I get it when that career criminal does something that justifies a potentially lethal respond, but absent those situation, the idea that it's OK for police to serve as judge, jury, and executioner is terrifying.

More importantly the fact that resistance to police is condoned in 2016 is absurd and certain communities need to preach that simple concept.

Resistance should not be condoned nor tolerated, but this idea that anything but perfect compliance is enough to excuse unnecessarily excessive police actions (like the tazing video posted the other day) should not be tolerated either.

Ugh great idea but your premis is based on stupidity, BLM just wants the systemic violation of constitutional rights like driving while black to end.

Yeah and that's reasonable. Equitable treatment under the law is a very reasonable demand.

They're just really, and I mean really fricking bad at picking their martyrs. I think people would take them seriously if they didn't use people like Sterling as martyrs.

Hindsight is 20/20. You can't judge situations by the facts you know after the fact. Put yourself in the situation with the unknowns. People expecting police to make perfect decisions in the heat of the moment every single time are kidding themselves. Basically people want perfect policing that will please everyone. It's impossible.

If you are going to use lethal force then your decisions need to be perfect
