I vaguely remember this thread from last year.

Is this where we talk about the Mardi Gras cosplay? The frat bros dressing like they’re about to hit the back nine? Or is this a good place to bash a guy wearing a football jersey into Tiger Stadium? Live and let live man…

God forbid people who otherwise would never have a reason to, dress up in traditional folk clothing, honoring our past, our traditions, our ancestors

It would be horrible if they had some sort of newfound respect for the land, for agriculture, for a more pastoral way of life

But none of that is reality. It's more so the suburb baws that have never ridden a horse that see the cowboy life romaticized on television and want to emulate.

Do they still do the trail rides (many days) that terminate at the livestock show and rodeo? That used to be a generational celebration.

I was working in Calgary one summer at Stampede time. In the hotel, you could pick out the real ranchers and cowboys, just by the way they walked. And how well their boots were worn and really well cared for.

I’d go just to see them. I didn’t think they were touring/performing anymore.

Saw him at Rodeo a few years ago. Right as he was really blowing up, and "Dear Rodeo" was big.

Was amazing

Dude wants people to show proof of riding horses before someone can buy cowboy boots. Ha.

How many years do you have to play baseball for the Cubs before you can wear a Chicago cap?
