The story says the parties happened before they were married. I didn't read the whole thing, just the quoted parts in the OP, I don't know if they continued. But if they didn't then it shouldn't impact the divorce.

Gates built the company before she showed up so he would have already brought millions into the marriage, including shares in MS which are now worth $240+ each.
There will be a settlement but the pool of assets they are dividing may not be as large as she thinks it is given what he had going in.

See, I think that is horseshite. She knew, probably for all 27+ years they were together, who/what Bill Gates is. She accepted that. She was party to it. She was willingly in that lifestyle. Infidelity that has gone on forever, and seems to have been the norm and accepted, shouldn't be held against either party when, for whatever reason, the couple decides to hang it up.
In short, don't act like the woman scorned when you've been on the ride willingly all these years.
