This is why I have been waiting for over a year now to get a new truck. The interior or the new GM truck is almost the same as my 2014.

Gonna start seeing 15-20 year truck financing at those prices soon

Wouldn’t be surprised if that is already an option out there.

IF you can find a replacement vehicle that hasn't suffered from that event

Yea I could bank about $8K on my F250 as I could probably make due without it for a few months but finding something to replace it would be a nightmare and lose any gains from it.

My Gladiator is just a weekend vehicle and I try not to use it for my business so it doesn't get beat up.

i did not say that it had to be new, bruv

i found plenty on autotempest in the 80k range prior to making the post. like i said, that market is in a bubble, too

in a couple years there are going to be some deals on high level cars when people realize they're very upside down

That isn't a regular truck. A regular truck is a half ton with cloth interior and doesn't say Denali on the side. That being said, I have a 2018 F-150 Platinum I bought used with low mileage on it a year ago. I will never buy a new vehicle again. Let the first guy take the initial depreciation lick. Plus I would never allow myself to buy this truck brand new. They are all way too expensive. I remember the first brand new Chevy I bought back in 2006 was around 26,000 and I thought it was outrageous back then.

As others have pointed out, that's a HD Denali likely in diesel. Diesel has an add on cost of about $11k. 4wd is about $3500.

That is a luxury truck but I agree the interior is not as nice as a 2022 F250 or 2019+ Ram 2500. You can get XLT F250s typically in the 50s with diesel and 4wd.

also the truck in OP gets noticed b/c of the high price but the people who are REALLY losing out are ones buying middle grade stuff for luxury prices

I went to a car auction a few months ago where I can usually pick up cheap work trucks for my workers only to see them going for triple what I have bought them for the past 3 or 4 years.

I was sticker shocked but wish I would have bought a few to flip.

Trucks in general are becoming more luxury than utility vehicles

That makes no sense. I got a new Grand Cherokee Laredo (not top of the line, but probably medium tier) for like 46k a couple months ago.

I bought a 1986 Chevy C20 Silverado Suburban last week for $5,500. The 454 purrs like a kitten and the transmission was smooth as silk. The interior needs a little work and I will have to repaint it at some point. My goal is to make it my tow vehicle for my bass boat. I want to totally restore it. Figure I can do it for under $20K. shite like the OP posted is EXACTLY why I chose to go this route. I can get what I want: a fricking truck and not a damned rolling computer.

This is what it will ultimately look like:

yea but its also the very very top of the line GMC. SO it is a luxury vehicle. and GMC does cost more than Chevy in general.

I don't really understand the OP regarding the luxury comment. Is there some mysterious luxury truck line out there? I thought GMC Denali was the top luxury truck in the market.
