Very good. You have a natural right to defend yourself and you don't need a piece of paper giving that right to you. No evidence to suggest CC permits do anything for safety either. It is a fee on a right. So yes, this is a great thing that should be adopted nationwide.

Louisiana needs to do the same.

Constitutional carry...
If criminals do it then the citizenry should be allowed to as well without threat of prosecution.

Just saw Ohio is doing it as well. Good. No issues in Georgia. nice to just walk into probate court with a check and thats the extent of your work...

Good.
This thread should be fun once the fainting couch crowd sees it.

Well at least it's concealed
In lousiana, you only have to be 17 years old and have a fricking pulse to open carry a gun.
You see a fair number of douchey frickers doing it too, especially in the suburbs. It's weird as shite.

So if criminals can do it anyone should be able to? How are laws made then?
Criminals smoke pot. I should be able to smoke pot

I’d rather have stuck with the law we had in place. It was still relatively easy to get your CCR but people were at least getting a crash course in gun safety and gun laws. Especially when those laws vary from state to state.
Even with the law, I’d still want to take a course before I decided to carry. I’d rather see a large, educated population of gun users than one that isn’t.
Especially when we live in a day and age where most people don’t receive a good gun education in their home (especially if they grew up in an urban area and don’t hunt).

you shouldn't need a permit to conceal carry. The fact that you need one in some states is unconstitutional.

Actually yes. That was a terrible example. Or great troll. I can't decide.

When was the last time a convicted felon committed armed robbery while open carrying? They're going to carry illegally, anyway.
Concealed carry laws only affect the honest.

Of all the people that say the required training is great, have you actually taken the training or are you talking out of your arse?
It's a total joke, watch a few state required videos, maybe a brief discussion then off to the range and fire off a box to demonstrate you can (without harming yourself) punch some holes in a paper target in a totally controlled and stress free environment.
That makes a person proficient and you safer?
As to the open carry comments about feeling weirded out when seeing people exercise their rights within the law.... does a person carrying openly with a shiny bit of tin negate the weirdness for you?
