Yea that sucks for yall. I usually go the selfish route and try to figure out what’s best for me. What will this do to grain futures. Is there gonna be a big loss in feeder cattle or will they flood the market with them trying to get them out of the cold.

North still sucks

I have a friend that lives up near Green Bay. He has two dogs but is refusing to take them in tonight because he says “they’re just animals, they’ll be fine.” And went on to talk about how wildlife will be fine and so will his dogs.

You’re actually a warm blooded mammal. Fun fact reptiles are cold blooded.

He's from Louisiana. He definitely doesn't own clothes for anything close to that type cold.

I think you’re the one with lack of intelligence. Wind chill is a big deal especially at those temps.

If you don't have an engine block heater on an auto or airplane, it ain't starting.

I worked in ND for a few years and it got neg 10 to neg 32 a bunch of times and barely any one needed engine block heaters except diesel trucks. Even newer diesel trucks could start without it but they said it was hard on your batteries and starter.

I always hope the rescued / fostered dogs that I've had over the years that have been transported up North never end up with people like your friend. Especially the short haired ones.
Tell him to let his own mammal's arse sleep outside and report back how nice it is. Some animals are more adapted to the cold, while others are not.
Same with the heat.

Never living North of Middle TN. My South La DNA is not coded to handle climates lower than here. We get a couple yearly snowfalls for the kids to get a few days off and do some sledding, but nothing like folks get a mere 1.5 hours north of here.
