I hadn't until last Saturday in Dallas. Dude crossed 3 lanes of traffic to take a turn the wrong way, drove down a 1 way, and turned left from a far right lane. I honestly don't think he had ever driven in America before. If the trip wasn't so short I would've told him to just let us out.

The middle eastern folk are usually the worst drivers. Speeding, hard turns, speed up in traffic just to slam on the breaks, etc.

Also another story. A friend of mine was coming home from the bars and his friend was so drunk he couldn’t do the Uber himself, so he had to do it. His friend started throwing up, but at least he did so outside the window. The Uber driver noticed and immediately stopped and kicked them out of the car in a shady area. 30 minutes later, the driver claimed his interior was ruined, showed some very fuzzy pictures and basically committed fraud. Buddy was charged $250 clean up fee. He disputed it, but Uber stood by the driver’s claim. There was no way that the vomit got all over the interior. I know this because I’m an attorney and I sent a letter to Uber with the claims of fraud on not only the driver, but them as well.

Needless to say, Uber refunded the money and gave him a bunch of credit to use on future rides, but he has refused to do so.

It’s an awful service given you have no idea who you’re going to get. I’m sure there are some great Uber drivers, but the bad apples are just too many.

Honestly, in my experience, Uber/Lyft drivers have been no worse drivers than...

taxi drivers
hotel shuttle drivers
airport shuttle drivers
etc

Aren't the Uber/Lyft drivers in NOLA supposed to have their cars inspected, though? I took a Lyft on Friday for about a 10 min ride from the warehouse district into the quarter, and while the driver I had was nice enough and was a very good driver, his right front tire sounded like it was going to come off the car at any minute.

This situation is incredibly common. The drivers see it as a quick way to end their night and frick over the rider.

After spending time in the Middle East having the mooslems drive you around Uber drivers around here are nothing
