Stop, you're making LSU fans look good by being the most embarrassing fan base.

This is the beginning of the end for Lane Kiffin at LSU.
Kiffin is looking for brownie points in any way he can get them. LSU fans are by far more racist than Ole Miss fans. Just listen to the vile shite out of their mouths in the stands.

Some of you are clowns … OU doesn’t have a deficit in softball.. we sale out every game we actually make money unlike your shitty schools. OU has nothing to do with any of what the op just posted. Usa softball is in OKC … OU is in Norman … stop being little dipshits . This is for everyone it has nothing to do with OU. It’s the USA Olympics
You might make a profit from ticket sales for the home games, but I can guarantee you that it doesn't make up for the travel and expenses.

Gambling addiction is so pathetic
It’s the dopamine effects after winning that keeps them going. No different than a lot of addictions.
It’s not easy to avoid when it’s on your phone.
What’s scary now is them adding slot machine and table games to these apps. It’s only going to get worse.
re: Did you know that Georgia, LSU, and Vandy football players dodged the draft in 1943?

After checking i see that Florida indeed did field a team in 1942. I know this because Georgia beat Florida 75-0 in 1942.
You do know that the upperclassmen at Georgia still played that year as they didn’t get drafted (yet).
While Florida lost all of their upperclassmen to the draft and scrapped together a very inexperienced and depleted team and decided not to do that again the following year.
This makes you worse for this argument.

actually, none of it is true. Your theory has already been disproved by multiple people.

I would hardly call that having our asses handed to us.

you know who else fielded teams?
Army and Navy. THE two service academies fielded teams yet you think it was "bad optics" for state universities to do the same because some others chose not to? You realize it wasn't out of some deference to the war effort some colleges chose not to play right? It was that they didn't want to deal with the roster issues the war caused so they just said frick it. Others didn't. It's not that deep.
You may also want to educate yourself that the 1943 season had 59 teams comprised solely of people in active military service that competed against other college football teams.
The entire Big 10 played. The Big 6 played, most of the independents played, the Southern Conference played. Notre Dame played. USC played. UCLA played.
No one should have played. I am aware there were many teams that played that year. I was talking about the SEC.
I am more praising the 7 SEC schools that decided not to field teams (they could have done the same thing as Georgia, LSU, and Vandy, but decided not to, to your own point).
For those players that eventually wound up going into service, great.
This is mostly a bash to Georgia for having their upperclassmen the year before and winning a national title that they gladly claim, while other schools suffered the same issues in 1942 that they faced in 1943.
To your point, it's not that deep nor an actual knock to the players that wound up going into service anyway.

You called the players on those teams draft dodgers…many of them were drafted and served. That’s because you are a moron and seemingly suffering because your school is an abject failure at football. You shouldn’t take football so serious that it causes you to besmirch the reputations of men who fought for your freedom.
I think you take that too seriously. We're talking about optics of the schools fielding teams during WWII.
It's not a good look. Period.

The 1942 UGA team included:
George Poschner at End, he served in the United States Army in World War II, where he received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Distinguished Service Cross.[5] On January 8, 1945, Poschner participated as a lieutenant in the Battle of the Bulge. While advancing into enemy territory, he was severely injured by machine-gun fire and did not receive medical treatment until two days later.[1] Poschner lost both legs and several fingers as a result of his injuries.
I never said there weren't war heroes out there. Every school had war heroes and we remember them for it.
We're talking about the SCHOOL fielding a FOOTBALL team while there was a WAR going on. It's bad optics. Period.

All the teams that played did so with people either too young for or unfit for service.
Many of the too young players would later serve as they grew older, some dying in the war and you are here calling them draft dodgers.
This does not look good for Georgia then.
In 1942, Georgia fielded upperclassmen while other teams (to your point about those not fit or unable to be drafted) fielded younger men to field a team. Georgia went on to go 11-1 and win a "national championship" due to this.
7 of those SEC teams decided after 1942 that it would be best to not field a team for 1943.
Georgia, LSU, and Vandy decided to not follow suit.
And I am sure Georgia claims 1942 proudly.

Sure
Texas A&M also played football in 1943. They also sent the third most students to war behind only the service academies
It was good to see that the students went. Yes.
We're talking about the football team, and I didn't include A&M in this anyway because they weren't part of the SEC.
7 teams in the SEC at the time decided to NOT field a football team.
LSU decided to play. Bad optics.
