It angers me how some kids are dealt a bad hand in life

I was stopping by the grocery store after work today. And I saw a father loading his son in a motorized wheelchair in the parking lot.
I stopped for a second and wondered how much effort and time it must take to care for a child that is permanently disabled. Then a feeling of rage came over me. All of this within a few seconds. What must it be like to never get to run or climb trees or have a normal social life like most kids? I can't even fathom it
It angers me this happens to children across the US every year. Weird thread I know I just felt like talking about it

Par for the course.
This is actually not a bad thread from you. Don't get me wrong, it sucks, but you seem compassionate instead of your usual retarded so we'll let it slide.

It’s sad but what should anger you is the people that could run if they wanted but are just too fat and lazy.

Kids these days don’t run or climb trees and have a social life, their parents give them iPads

The Spartans would have tossed him off the side of a mountain . Luck of the sperm when it comes to life, you could be the future King of England or born with HIV in the desert.

In a way, I wish that medicine could cure birth defects / paralyzing injuries, etc. more than curing things that just allow old folks to live longer.

It is stated in the movie 300 that less than perfect Spartan infants are tossed off of a mountain to die.
No clue if that’s actually historically accurate.

Everyone has something to deal with and no matter how bad you have it, there is always people who have it worst.
It's life.
Now, if I was a retard Rice fan who lives around the Houston area and post unfunny shite on a message board that would be as bad as it can get.

Why would you be enraged over a disabled child? Angry and enraged? Any normal person is sympathetic and hopeful the child is smiling and having a good life. I think you should probably go talk to someone if you're having these types of feelings.

Of course, kids who are bombed out of their homes in Syria can go to hell.

I don’t know if physical disabilities anger me that much. There is still the chance for a high quality of life especially thanks to modern day technology.
I get angry for the kids who are born into awful home lives. They didn’t ask to wake up in a house with a single mom who is irritable and violent, who has three baby daddies no longer in the picture, and who lives in a mold-infested trash dump house in a crime infested area with bad schools and zero opportunities. I feel angry for those kids because they pretty much have no chance.

It's not what happens to you in life that counts. It's how you deal with it. How will you deal with your misplaced anger?

The world can be a really harsh place. Throughout history, kids (and adults too) have suffered and even died from things like diseases, natural disasters, invading armies, tribal or clan clashes, starvation, famines, drought, crime, etc. etc.
I think we should all take a break from time to time from thinking about our own troubles or how this group or that group offends us or pisses us off and just be grateful for what we have.

That father and son might have looked over at you thinking, “Eesh, glad I’m not an angry-looking guy with a potbelly that stands there pondering in a parking lot!”
