quote:not that weird. Truth is, the vast majority of all those kids dealt bad hands in life could be changed except for all the greed. None of you will get this at all.
Weird thread I know I just felt like talking about it

In high school our House of Young Churchmen group spent several months visiting and getting to know 'children' at a church home. The children were mostly Thalidomide babies missing most of their limbs. I got to know one girl, my age, who got around in one of the wheeled things, circular that people use for two year olds to learn to walk. She was about two feet tall with one longer leg, and she wasn't bitter but had not much of a life and had trouble reading although she enjoyed talking. And she had a beautiful face and blond hair that she wore in a pageboy cut.
Yep, remember her to this day.

It angers me this happens to children across the US every year.
You need to look at the glass as half full. While I too would like to see every kid on the planet happy and healthy, it doesn't work that way. Next time you see something like this, pay attention to the kid & the parent(s). Most of the time the kid is smiling and happy.....be happy for them, not mad bc of something out of everyone's control.
