Israel has lost 158 troops whereas Hamas has lost over 20000-25000 so far. They will have complete control over all of Gaza within the next three weeks. Not sure where you are seeing

Hamas can surrender and give up the hostages and it stops, it really is that simple.

The only articles I've seen that mention winding down combat operations are referring to the clearing operations and they are being handed off to a different group of soldiers to secure and hold the real estate.
I'm not sure Israel has fully explained their end game in public, other than it will be radically different than before and Hamas will not be in charge.

From the sounds of things there has been some back channeling with the Kingdom. Saudi's have already put the word out to the Fat arse FATAH leader he needs to step down. I imagine the Saudi’s will install their own leadership that will work with the Israelis to ensure peace. Throw in some Saudi IC as the stick, and the Palestinians will be marching to a different drum while the corruption will be greatly reduced. The big outlier is all the corrupt UN officials but I bet if they don’t toe the line they will suddenly disappear.

From a Western perspective, that would probably be as good an outcome as can be expected.
I'm not sure how all that plays out with Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran. There's a significant amount of tribal politics in play.

The action in the West Bank has largely flown under the radar due to the scope of the war in Gaza. But, there seems to be a much greater terrorist presence in the West Bank than first thought given the tunnels and weapons caches that have been uncovered.
