I say we let the east take them, since we've been taking the last few hundred batches

This war would have never happened if Trump was President!!

Well, in his defense, at least he solved the Russia/ukraine conflict problem in less than 24 hours when he snuck into office some how.

They won’t.

European nations will be flooded with them, since they have zero national pride or spine.

The next Democratic administration will flood small towns with them.

The Eastern nations give absolutely zero shits.

Is being voted into the presidency sneaking in?

Not to worry. Vance will win at least one term.

Too late. We are always helping. As of today one aircraft carrrier in the Arabian Sea and two destroyers in the Mediterranean are being repositioned closer to the action. I assume by help you mean risking the lives of American soldiers. How many lives are on those three ships? I don't have a clue.

The Arabian Sea ends at the border of Pakistani and Iran on that side.

We have military and non-military people stationed in countries all around that area including our embassy in Israel as well as private citizens and assets there. We don’t even have an embassy in Iran, and Israel has been better at avoiding civilian targets. Trying to shoot down some Iranian missiles has a self interest aspect to it. We also may need to help those remaining in embassies and elsewhere to get out.

Iran put out threats and maybe even put a plan in motion about assassinating Trump at least twice including during campaign and had threatened our bases and embassies before Israel ever bombed Iran. We may be forced to defend our people against Iran or respond to an attack against them.

I am also all for seeking out as much intelligence on weapons and successful tactics as we can from a relatively safe distance. I also hope after the billions we have handed to Ukraine we are also getting that kind of information on drones usage and tactics in warfare especially with Ukraine’s success with them.

There is not putting boots on the ground, not taking part in preemptive offensive bombings, and not handing out billions to fund a proxy war against Russia; and then there is stick your head in the sand and become total isolationists and sacrifice your own people and interests already in the areas.

I’m sure they are happy to see us wade up to our neck into a multigenerational religious conflict. Muh America first.

They do rely on the Iranian with some weapons

Other than that the Russians would love to see the U.S. get involved in another religious conflict

We're stupid to get involved

True but that’s a drop in the bucket compared to what netenyahu has us bent over for.

To be clear I support Israel’s right to exist but bibi has every intention of having us bankrolled another fricking forever holy war. Hard pass.

Bush the lesser had an opportunity to resolve the “Iranian issue” but let the idiot neocons frick it up.

They can’t have a nuke even if it means we have to kill all 90 million of them, or a few billion people, that is just a well understood intelligence fact. If they get one the likelihood of WW3 or elimination of most all life on earth is significant. (Thank you AI)

Iran is a huge country with a population of 90 million (i.e., Canada is 40 million, Germany is 80 million) and a GDP of $400 Billion which is obviously very small compared to the USA but it is around double that of Greece or Iraq. We are talking about a very serious situation when we talk about collapsing the government of Iran. If that is truly what Israel is trying to do then the lunatics have taken over the asylum.

I agree. I don’t think you will see regime change in Iran from this and it’s hard for me to imagine how Israel thinks they could ride the dragon of an Iran government collapse. That will make Iraq post Saddam look like Orlando. Every nation surrounding Iran will look to take advantage for itself in some way, and their won’t be a US in the middle to somewhat keep the peace.

I can’t help but think to WWII Japan, with its army largely stuck in the quagmire of an occupation of Manchuria, launching a surprise attack to cripple its largest pacific rival.

I just don’t see Israel having the horses to finish this race.

Yeah, I'm hoping Iran is slapping Bibi's wrist and things cool down. Unfortunately, I think things are just going to escalate.
