I really believe this will be the future.
Kids do not care about delineating between digital and physical worlds.
It would not surprise me if at some point in the future people are able to add a few prompts of what kind of programming they want into a generator and it will immediately build an entire show or movie that is exactly what they want.
Not unlike some of those music generators that are already available. Add prompts and a few other inputs and boom, you've got the exact song you're looking for.

I'm sure they'll pass those savings on to the consumers, right? They won't be greedy at all and come up with BS reasons why AI actors are actually more expensive than real ones.
People will be making their own movies and releasing them on Youtube. Hollywood is going to have huge issues in the not-too-distant future. It's going the same path that the music industry did as with people not needing record labels to get their art out.
Hollywood will have to adjust to the flooded market and consumer

AI will be the major source of contention during the next SAG, WGA, and IATSE negotiations. There will be lots of AI production in the future, but as long as the MPA members have to contract with the unions they will likely be prohibited from using AI to any meaningful degree by those contractss.

How naive are you? Someone programs "her". That person, or people, can make that computer program say anything they want.

Yes. Now anyone with a little processing power can generate life like movies for very little cost. The actors/actresses will always be on time never complain or file lawsuits. Eventually, we will watch older shows, older movies or AI generated new shows/movies that fit our genre and what we wish to see. This will ultimately mean that Hollywood will have a couple of superstars (Sydney Sweeny) and a bunch of has-beens trying to keep the business alive.
There will be a niche market though for old movies in old movie theaters. No one will get super rich from this model, but people will make a living doing it.

Ai actors also need ai directors. This needs to be the end of Hollywood. Let California try and make do without that segment of their tax base.

I welcome it....Im tired of waiting a year or 2 between seasons of shows I like. They could be ongoing and just think users could choose alternate pathways of the show

Talk about driving a bunch of Hollywood crazy.

Any and all nudity anymore is absolutely gonna be AI generated. You won’t be seeing any female actresses body in real time ever again.

fricking this over and over.
Self important millionaire hypocrites that preach to us then hold out their hands while they insult us.
I hate Hollywood with a passion.

Why would they "sign" her.
Seems like the whole point is you don't have to sign anyone. Just create what you want.

Is Tilly going to show her tits?

At first, plastic surgeons will celebrate the glut of actresses and wannabes who try for more perfect face shapes. Then when none of them match up to AI, the plastic surgeons will, like lemmings, drive their mortgaged lambos off a cliff.
Remember, we've already had Kevin Spacey replaced in a series and even earlier Angelina Jolie had her body rounded up and out in Tomb Raider.
To think back when colorizing black and white movies was the big fuss.
