trying to pass the long line of cars in the left lane, so you leave a gap just big enough for him to see it, but you close it at the last second, watching him get passed by ten cars in the left lane? It's even a little better when after he has to fall back, he is further back than when he started his jackass move.

No, because this usually means I'm behind someone breaking the law and driving in the left lane when they shouldn't be.

I dunno about getting satisfaction out of it but I do agree people swerving in and out of cars and riding their tails are douchebags.

Yeah, when the douchebag in the passing lane sees faster traffic approaching and actually moves over into the slow lane so overtaking traffic can pass on the left.

frick yourself with a cactus.

But what about the people driving in the right lane who get punished? It happens to me all the time, either they zoom up and ride your arse because the left lane is clogged, or they ride your arse for several miles before passing in the unclogged left lane.

Was at a courthouse square on Friday (in the right hand lane) and the guy behind me wanted to turn right, but couldn't. I watched him melt down in the rear view until the light cycled.

People don't drive, they follow.

Sounds to me like you need to get your slow arse out of the left lane.

the zipper method of using both lanes until the end is the proper way to drive. if lemmings want to avoid that and all sit in the same lane, then that's their problem.

It's a passing lane, not a travel lane.

Of course, I know that's gonna go in one ear and out the other.

eta: now if we're talking DBs trying to PASS (I think I may have misunderstood OP) on the right on the highway, then yeah, frick them.

This.

The a-hole holding up traffic in the left lane is the problem in your scenario.

I particularly like doing it when you have a line of cars passing a slow moving semi and some arse tries to come up behind semi to swing in.

If you're in the left lane holding up traffic, I'm going to be on your bumper. Now, the people that bother me are the ones that will ride your bumper when you're clearly behind the slow-arse car in the left lane.

Every frickin morning on I-10. 99 of us hauling arse to the plants at 85mph and that 1 jackass has to come up the right side at 100mph in his Mustang or Challenger to almost get a face full of Mansfield bar.

OP is right.

Watching some douchebag who passed me driving like a maniac being ticketed a few miles down the road is pretty satisfying.

Equally as true. I find myself pissed off driving on 10 at other times of the day when it's full of retards.
