Mind numbed zombies who line up in the left lane are the problem. Some people have places to be and dont want to sit in a line of slow nancies

No, it isn't.

If you're driving slower than the speed of traffic in the left lane, thereby causing people to stop, slow down, and pass, you've increased the risk of an accident on the road.

You're also an inconsiderate arse.

Right, the five to ten retards who pile up behind the slow retard in the left and won't pass on the right are the problem. Then when you finally get an opening to pass them on the right, one of those cars moves to the right lane going the exact same speed somehow thinking they're no longer part of the problem.

Yes it is. The fact that they are in the left lane does not force the other person to rear end them.

It's called failure to control speed, counselor.

Nuance like that is lost on lots of drivers.

It forces the other driver into a higher risk activity - slow, stop, or pass.

There is a reason we have a law that prevents traveling the left lane.

Passing, slowing, and stopping have little to do with speed control. And all three are a higher risk activity to maintaining constant speed.

The onus is on the driver to avoid slower traffic and pedestrians in all scenarios.

Let me explain it a little better.
Say a vehicle is going between 70 or so in the right lane. Someone attempts to pass in left lane at around 75. A line of 3 or 4 cars form in the left.
Then the jackass thinks passing at 75 isn't fast enough so he jerks into the right lane and speeds to 80 to try and jump in front of the left lane folks by swerving in a the last second on someone's front bumper.

I do enjoy when they get trapped. I rarely will speed up or slow down, but when the extreme dangerous dumbass is swerving in and out of traffic behind me, I will sometimes do what I can to cause them to get trapped.

And yes, fck a left lane cruiser who can't figure out that it's a passing lane.

Well, just about every single state legislature disagrees with you.

So it's legal to rear end slower traffic and mow down pedestrians?

I never said that

But, by law, the vehicle traveling in the left lane has the responsibility to move out.

And, by law, the cars behind them have a legal duty to avoid hitting them.

If that means slowing down too, then so be it.

This. Me and other drivers frustrated some a-hole for close to 35 miles on I-35 North if Austin who kept doing this, then he'd get stuck and have to move back.

He just didn't get that there was construction, a miles long group of eighteen-wheelers, and grandpa's driving motor homes and pulling campers ahead of us and we couldn't do shite about it.

Finally,he got around everyone, sped off like a speeding bullet mad at the world and then the next time I see him is about seven miles up the road with a state trooper behind him on the side of the road.

No racism, but I've legitimately always wondered why 99% of black people don't understand the entire premise of the left lane. Like 99 times out of 100 when you see someone just chillin in the left lane whether it's a crowded or nearly empty interstate it's a black person usually traveling at or under the speed limit. Or theyll have a line of cars behind them and/or multiple people passing to the right and there they stay in the far left, not even realizing what they're doing.

Is it just not taught in the black community or do they not care? Even on an empty interstate or when there's no one behind me I feel weird traveling in the left lane for any extended amount of time.

And when this action takes place (following car slowing down) the lead car is in violation of the law.

This is pretty clear. And, in terms of actual consequences, passing, slowing, and stopping are all higher risk than maintaining a constant speed.

So, as I said at the beginning, the vehicle driving slow in the left hand lane is the catalyst for high risk activity.

This is non-freeway, but what if they are about to make a left turn? I see yahoos gun up on ppl in this situation all the time.

But I've been assured in this thread that they need to pull over, take to the ditch or otherwise GTFO the way. Always, no exception.

No it is not. It is the douchebag who chooses to escalate the situation instead of holding their horses and sharing the road.
