re: Is Shedeur like Tim Tebow

I’m not trying to take anything away from Tebow. I like the guy. For whatever reason, he was not what the NFL wanted in a qb. I was rooting for him.

But through no fault of his own, the dude brought with him a huge pain in the arse in the form of a unique fan base that caused division wherever he went.

Tebow was not a locker room issue. He spent his fair share of time being quiet and taking a backseat, the exact polar opposite of Shedeur.

Even if Shedeur was quiet, you’d still have to deal with Deion and the apparently significant group of Shedeur fans who are going to lambaste every decision you make that isn’t a Shedeur first decision.

Which is basically what Tebow brought with him. Just switch out claims of religious discrimination with racial discrimination and that’s the circus each brings.

Yes. I just posted in another thread before seeing this post.

The comparison is not their skill levels. Rather, the comparison is that both bring an off field level of interest that casts a shadow over what they can contribute.
Tebow is also a good comparison. Whatever his talent level is, it’s not enough to deal with the external pressures that come with him.

Tebow came with the religious circus that demanded he play. Shedeur comes with a different circus, but a circus nonetheless. No sane GM wants that.

For the record, I like Tebow and none of this is intended to be critical of him.
The United Methodist Church is at this point nothing more than a trophy pelt being worn by the liberal horde that conquered it. It’s not a church.

Is she the hottest woman to ever live? No. But there’s not a dude on here who would complain about their lot in life had fate put her in their path.
Since when did Baptists start using incense for anything?

This seems like more Catholic mockery from the “religious” left.

Played on the front yard of one of the GT frat houses in the early 2000s. I could not believe the shite that was blasting across a campus in the middle of Atlanta.
2004 final four at the Alamodome was played on a ground level floor. Temporary stands (massive) were placed that basically divided the dome in half. Court was on one half, and a massive media area with tables on the other half. Seating on all sides was pretty close to the floor with end line seats being furthest away to allow for a big media, cheerleader, band area at each end.

It looks like they’ve raised the floor and now use the whole dome for game seating.
When it develops a problem that keeps leaving you stranded in traffic/creates a safety issue that no mechanic can seem to repair (or even replicate the problem to diagnose it).

I also had a 19 lariat. Love the way it looked. Had problems from the start. Transmission had rough shifts - downshifts could be like getting rear ended. They flashed the memory 3 times under 10k miles. It finally did better but was never smooth.

At 80k miles, it developed problems with camshaft positioning solenoids that caused it to run rough and shut off at idle. Spent a bunch to get that diagnosed and fixed only to have it still not right. After fix it would only do it after long interstate drives. So mechanics could not reproduce and fix problem.

I just traded into a 2025 Tahoe with the 5.3. So far and with less than 2k miles, it’s great. Transmission is as smooth as silk and the 5.3 seems to have much more pep than my ford 5.0. Ford did have better interior styling, but GM is currently nailing exterior styling. The new Chevy and GMC trucks and Tahoe/Yukon are way better looking than their Ford equivalents.
Nissan and Dodge seem to be the vehicles of choice for a certain demographic.
Buffets and Carnival Cruise Lines cater to the same clientele and it’s not me.
Years ago, I threw a shrimp boil for my wife’s (no pics) birthday. I used a big plastic tub to thaw shrimp before the boil. Overserved myself and forgot about the tub of water with some shrimp in it. Went to work Monday still forgetting about that tub on the side of the house.

Monday afternoon, wife gets home from work first and said that the smell hit 5 houses away. I told her to drag it down the street and dump down storm drain. Instead, she pulls it inside and dumps it down tub. Our house smelled like a crime scene for about a week.
Vance didn’t jump in and play POTUS. He forcefully supported his boss and country to the face of a foreign dictator who masquerades as an ally to get money from us. When that dictator disrespected the boss, the VP jumped in the fray like he should.

Z’s only remaining basis for ongoing control in Ukraine is ongoing war with Russia. Once the war ends, Ukraine supposedly has “elections” which should result in z being sent packing. It’s not hard to understand why he wants some measure of conflict with Russia to continue to simmer.

Same situation. Same decision.
Israel should wait until the next body exchange and drop a Moab right in the middle of the crowd of cheering Palestinians.
