Never truly understood the "staying together for the kids" angle. How is it any healthier for your child to live in a home where the 2 adults despise each other? Kids should never be the sole reason to get married nor to remain married

I had zero desire to stay with my ex wife when I found out she cheated. She was a real piece of shite. I found out after the divorce that she had cheated on her husband before me and all of her big boyfriends, just a giant piece of shite. She had zero remorse and even blamed me.
Bad thing is that cheating makes no difference anymore in the divorce. It’s just a reason now. She will still get half your shite and still get the kids if she wants them.

Probably, but it could be the case that he did ignore his wife, played golf, went on weekend trips with his friends, had poker nights, and otherwise lived life like he was still in college. In that case, I can easily understand a woman looking for love from someone else. And it would be his fault.

His thought process is probably children and finances. Even though his wife cheated she still gets half, likely custody, the house, and he will have to dramatically decrease his standard of living. It is pretty fricked up imo that she cheated yet she is entitled to half. It seems like he is just delaying the inevitable ,but yeah I can understand why he would try to not go through a divorce. The bitch is gonna do it again though.
